Had my hvac service done on a Saturday and yes I was told that their would be a small overtime fee. But to be charged over 400 dollars just for an overtime fee is madness! The tech was great and repaired my hvac unit. But would have liked to have known before hand the details. If you use this company get a detail on the possible charges. Although I have to say that I do not recommend this company based on the fact that yes they said that there would be a overtime charge but not over 400.00 dollars. Communication is key! Good job on repairing my system.

Hi frank, we are sorry to hear and see this report of your experience as so many of us were involved in helping you with this experience. We do stand confused on your perspective on this. Per the phone recording played for you on site, the $120.00 after hours fee was explained to you before booking as well as the fact that any repairs would be overtime and those costs would be explained to you once the diagnostic was performed which you responded to in the recording. Our technician on site did reconfirm all of this with you, unfortunately even upon the review of the recording you still attempted to claim our dispatch didn’t explain these charges to you at which point I rewound the recording and played it for you once again. Our technician gave you the quote for the repair before the repair was performed. You agreed to the price before the work was completed and signed off that you were satisfied with the repair. I’m not sure how we could have further communicated any of this to you, and do stand quite confused over this review. While you are entitled to your opinion we do strive to have positive interactions with all of our clients and fully deliver a 5 star experience.

The take away from your review seems to be that you are upset we couldn’t give you a full repair quote over the phone, which without a diagnostic would be impossible. We wish you the best of luck with future endeavors and I hope this response is able to better clarify all of this to you.



Also I’d like to add that the charges you are outlining are completely inaccurate. You were not charged $400.00 for an overtime fee, you were charged that for tracing a wiring short and repairing it at the after hours rate, which as our tech explained to you was about $100.00 more than the standard rates.

5 stars is not anywhere close to the professional and expert service I received from B&E. So I will give 100 stars. First phone call tells me if I will give them a chance to service me or not. And from what I was told the owners wife won our business. She was extra pleasant and very compassionate about our need. She guaranteed me service even though it was late evening and they kept their word. From here on out we've got a new HVAC system and couldn't be any happier. These people are not pushy and allow you to make your own decisions which I like. From here on out B&E will be our tech. Professional, Knowledgeable, Honest, communicate and explain so you understand, and everything you'd expect if your particular like we are. Would highly recommend B&E !!! Evan and Won did our install and we loved everything about them. A real asset to the company !!!

Would not recommend them. I sent an initial email to B&E describing the exact issue with our heating system and then I followed up several days later with a phone call again explaining the same thing. B&E then dispatched a tech for $80 to "diagnose" the issue. The tech arrived on time and was very polite and proceeded to check the a/c portion of the unit which was working properly. He stated that under the circumstances, which I had conveyed with B&E twice previously, he would not be able to diagnose the issue that I had reported about the heating equipment. He charged me the $80 dollars and stated that a sales person should come out and provide a quote for replacing the entire unit. I basically spent $80 and received no progress towards a resolution of the heating issue. Not very good customer service, but that wasn't due to anything that the tech had done. To him I was just another service call on his schedule. EDIT: I did not at any time ask for my a/c to be checked, only my heat ex-changer issue. My a/c was working fine with no issues. I mention the propane source had been removed in my initial inquiry prior to the technician being dispatched. I had sent an initial email to B&E and received a reply email back as well stating that I would be contacted shortly. On my follow up conversation concerning the results of the tech's visit no one was demeaned or berated. Because I was dissatisfied and did not agree with what the person was saying they disconnected the call. The facts stated in your response to my review are inaccurate and thus further validate the nature of my review. If the customer service aspect of B&E would have taken the time to listen and understand my initial request we may have been able to come to a more positive outcome. I will be pursuing replacement of my HVAC system and B&E missed a good opportunity to have a satisfied customer or at the very least to turn this misunderstanding around.

Hi Darryl, we are sorry to hear about your perspective on this matter, however as described to you on site, your furnace could not be test ran as you do not have gas on site and this information was not conveyed to us previously. We did however go over the Air conditioning portion of your system as you had requested and to determine what would be required to “refresh” the system. A Quote for cleaning the equipment for further diagnosis was provided on site of which you declined. Per a conversation between you and the technician you were interested in a quote for a replacement product to consider. As your system was over 20 years old and you believe the furnace side of the appliance was no longer functional. Again I refer to the fact you do not have gas supplied on site to test the furnace side of the appliance.


When our dispatch reached out to you to schedule a free estimate with a comfort advisor you attempted to berate and demean the company and our service rendered and were disgruntled by paying the service fee you were told up front you would have to pay. After attempts were made to de-escalate the conversation you were disconnected as we as service personnel are not here to be punching bags and wish simply to be treated respectfully.

Unfortunately your review far from accurately represents the service performed and we are unaware of where the disconnect came from. We would have been happy to go over your furnace had gas been supplied to the home when we were there to service it.

Additionally we have not corresponded via email, we have only ever received phone calls from you at the time of responding to this review.

We wish you all the best with your future endeavors and if you would like more clarity on the matter we welcome a phone call from you but we ask that you engage in the conversation respectfully.

Called for service during the recent heat wave bexuase the comonay who installed our unit did not have available for days. B&E was able to give us an appointment the following day. The employee arrived during the promised time window and was extremely polite and professional. He explained to me in detail what was needed to fix our unit (a capacitor) as well as the cost for the replacement part, and details of the warranty. The employee also outlined for me the service agreements that they have available but he was not pushy. Highly recommend calling B&E if you need service. We will definitely be using B&E again!

Update: I have been using this company for almost five years now. They are professional and friendly and have done many updates to my HVAC systems in both my new garage and house. I highly recommend their experience to serve your HVAC needs! Original Post: I am an extraordinarily happy customer when it comes to this particular heating and air conditioning company. The original company I hired left a wire brush inside my boiler and failed to tell me all the details concerning what was being done down in my basement. The B and E Services arrived to fix the issues left by the previous company. My hat is off to Zach and his awesome crew because not only did they install a heat pump, but they also installed a tankless water heater as well as a whole-house fan. Zach even figured out how to connect the heat pump and the whole-house fan to my Alexa Device, making my Sears-Roebuck catalogue-order home that was built in 1917 more modern and updated. The crew even fixed part of the floor that sagged in the bedroom when they installed the air vents. Professionalism and experience are the middle names of this company. The prices they named for their labor hours and parts were beyond acceptable. I have other projects for them to complete and I look forward to hiring them for more jobs in the future. Excellent customer service!

Excellent service! I was having an issue with my central air, we got hit with a heat wave when my system decided to have problems. I called B&E as they were the only company who offered to come out same day, evan was my tech and he was very polite, friendly and offered me lots of valuable information on my unit. Evan also gave me options on services which was very helpful! Thank you Evan!

The tech came out and checked on my AC unit. Ran as good a diagnostic on it as he could with the compressor down. Was very informative and explained everything so someone like me with little HVAC knowledge could understand. Explained all my options and we went from there.
