I was dreading this phone call because dealing with insurance is always a nightmare but they were amazing. They were very understanding and explained everything I need to know as I need to know it. If they weren't able to do something they explained what they weren't able to be able to do and they gave me an option to make it still work. And they didn't try to upset me they told me what they could do and then they told me what they thought I needed. I had such a great experience that I'm going to be using them for other properties and insurance requirements. If you have a choice I would definitely talk to Tina as she was a little help me and was amazing. She even got back to me quickly and followed up in such a respectful way that I didn't feel like I was being harassed. I know that sounds odd but when dealing with Geico State farm and a few others I would literally get three four calls texts or emails a day and that was very stressful.

My husband has been working on getting an answer on a claim since June 26th of this year. He’s been told he’d have an answer within the next day or two 2 weeks ago at this point. Our agent claims she’s going to stay on top of it and follow up with updates regularly. Unfortunately, still the same patterns. Claim is still open, still no resolution, still being given the runaround with rather little communication. He was the one who had to reach out twice last week after waiting over a week to hear from anyone. The last incoming call he received was on 9/23. All outbound calls have since received automated responses like “I’ll call you back shortly or I’ll call you back in 5 minutes” to never receive that call. He reported everything promptly, cooperated with every single document request, sat for whatever they asked, and provided a complete paper trail. In return, the claim was routed to a third-party Special Investigations Unit and I received a Reservation of Rights letter that cherry-picked an unrelated inspection report to argue the damage was somehow pre-existing, rather than seriously engaging with the actual sequence of events. Beyond the claim handling itself, the communication has been the most frustrating part. The assigned agent has told me "I'll follow up tomorrow" more times than he can count, and tomorrow never comes. No proactive updates, no accountability, just repeated promises that go nowhere. He’s had to be the one chasing status on our own claim, almost every single time. For a company that markets itself on "customer advocacy," this has been the opposite experience. If you're evaluating homeowners insurers, factor in not just the premium, but whether a company actually shows up when you need them during a claim. Based on our experience, this one does not. Get everything in writing, and don't be surprised if you need outside help (attorney/public adjuster) to get movement.

I currently have a rental property insured by Bamboo and received a new policy from them with a bit of savings. I spoke to some customer service people who were very helpful, but the payment departments are closed on weekends. I had returned the completed package and tried to pay on-line, but there was no accepted policy number on the new policy. The on-line support system is as helpful as an anvil to a drowning child. They need a revamp of it's website architecture. Five stars to the employees, no stars to the effectiveness of the website services. Today, that should be the easiest.

Home Insurance. They are very difficult to deal with. I doubt when it comes time to file a claim that they will pay out without a big fight.

My account and payments got really screwed up. Took 2 days to straighten it out. You billed the Mortgage Co (don't have a Mortgage) then billed me. Paid whole balance but 2 days later, you refunded it. Then cancelled the policy, then reinstated it. The customer service rep was nice, but unable to resolve in a timely manner. Kept sending me messages within the app. Can't open them in the app, have to download to read them. Since you don't email or message them, was unaware till a couple days ago. Web site provides minimal info about my policy. The policy, make a payment, and another page all show different amounts owed. Wish I could go back to USAA
