Amber did an amazing job grooming my dog! After spending so much time trying to find a groomer who could comfortably work with him without startling him, I was incredibly impressed with her patience and skill.
She was able to complete his haircut and trim his nails without any issues, which is something we've struggled with in the past. The results were fantastic, he looks like a completely different dog. The before and after difference is incredible. I would definitely recommend these services to family/friends/neighbors!

We recently made the decision to try Backyard Pet Services for the grooming of our Yorkshire Terrier, Allie, after using the same local veterinary office for many years - and honestly, we wish we had made the switch much sooner.
Our previous veterinarian’s office required annual canine flu vaccinations in order for Allie to be groomed. After discussing the policy directly with the veterinarian, it became clear that administering the first flu vaccine and grooming her the same day provided no immediate immunity or meaningful protection whatsoever. Since my background is in biology and criminology, I had concerns about exposing her to a grooming environment immediately after vaccination when the vaccine had not yet had time to create any protective immune response. We ultimately decided that if vaccinations were required, we would wait until the series had time to become effective before returning for grooming.
In addition to the grooming experience becoming stressful, expensive, and time consuming, the veterinary staff constantly seemed to be upselling additional services, vaccines, gum cleanings, dental procedures, teeth pulling by veterinary dentists, and more. We love Allie dearly and take very good care of her through high-quality nutrition, cooking fresh chicken hearts for her, daily exercise and play, and consistent in-home bathing and care. I know many pet owners have experienced similar frustrations and understand exactly what I mean.
Then we discovered Backyard Pet Services thanks to a neighbor’s recommendation - and what an incredible experience it has been.
Savannah arrived right at our home, greeted Allie with kindness and patience, and completed everything in about an hour. No stressful car rides. No cages. No noisy waiting rooms full of anxious pets. No wasted time. And the cost was actually about 15% less than what we had been paying at the veterinary office.
Most importantly, Allie was calm, relaxed, beautifully groomed, and genuinely well cared for. They even returned her wearing the cutest little bandana.
This has honestly been one of the best service discoveries we have made in years. Backyard Pet Services has given us back one of our most valuable assets - time - while also creating a far less stressful and much more pleasant experience for Allie.
I strongly recommend giving Backyard Pet Services an opportunity to earn your business. In addition to grooming services, they also offer pet walking, pet sitting, poop cleanup services, animal training, exotic pet services, cat services, and much more.
Since making the switch, we have also found a new veterinarian who does not constantly upsell services and who truly appears to have the best interests of both the pets and their owners in mind.
