It was a great Journey
My wife booked the Safari in November 2025. We had many questions about the Trip. Monika helped us a lot to keep the right Journey. She answered also questions about our Visa and anything Else. In March Kalifah (our Safariguide) picked us up. We had a unforgetable Journey with him. He knows the best Places in masai Mara. Asante Sana to Monica and Kalifah!

Everything went perfectly with Axis from day one. Monica is an incredibly friendly and patient woman. She took all our requests into account and put together a fantastic trip for us. Our driver and guide was Kalifah. He’s an amazing driver and a wonderful guide! He was always highly motivated to give us the best safari of our lives, and he succeeded. My boyfriend and I cannot say enough good things about our Safari experience with Axis! We did the 3 day 2 night to Masai Mara with tour guide Khalifa and stayed at Wild Nest acommodation, which was beautiful, clean, good food, and only 15 mins away from entrance to Masai Mara. Khalifa has 20 years of experience in the industry and it definitely showed - not only did he provide information about the animals but we got to see lots of the animals up close due to Khalifa's excellent driving abilities. He knew all the good spots and viewpoints for photos. In addition, Khalifa was an excellent driver, very reliable, and had a 4WD truck. (Note: having 4WD is recommended for driving. We never got stuck in the mud but rescued a few cars who did not have 4WD). Huge shoutout to Khalifa's guide in training, Derick, as well who provided lots of information about the animals, history, and culture and made the tour experience fun and enjoyable.
We also want to thank Cynthia, our tour organizer, who helped us with booking the safari, gave a detailed itinerary, and answered all our questions promptly and thoughtfully prior to arriving in Kenya making for an easy, organized booking process!
Overall, our experience with Axis Africa was 10/10. We did not have any expectations going in but it was an unforgettable trip beyond our wildest dreams and we would highly recommend!

Best safari with Axis
I booked my safari back in January with Tabitha. At first, I couldn’t make the payment with my credit card, so she kindly allowed me to pay in cash at the start of the adventure. As a solo traveler, I can confidently rate Axis Safari 5/5. For the price, they truly exceeded my expectations. Ntulele Camp was very comfortable, and the food was also great. On the second day, we got stuck in the mud and had to wait about two hours to be pulled out. However, they quickly arranged another vehicle for us. Later that afternoon, Kalifa (our guide) joined us and did his absolute best to make sure we could still see a variety of animals. Overall, I’m delighted with the experience.
We saw the big five in three days.
Our African safari experience exceeded all expectations and was absolutely worth every penny. From start to finish, everything was incredibly well organized, allowing us to fully immerse ourselves in the beauty of the wildlife and landscapes without any stress. One of the highlights of our trip was our exceptional guide. Thanks to his deep knowledge, sharp instincts, and dedication, we were able to spot the Big Five in just three days — something truly remarkable. Beyond just finding the animals, he taught us so much about their behavior, the ecosystem, and the importance of conservation, which made the experience even more meaningful. Every game drive felt unique and exciting, and we always felt safe, well taken care of, and engaged. This safari was not only an adventure but also an enriching learning experience that we will never forget. We would highly recommend this tour to anyone looking for a once-in-a-lifetime safari experience.
Truly, a great experience our driver Khalifa was great and was able to maneuver the wet terrain very well and get as close to see the animals. Cynthia was really helpful and organized and responded in a timely manner. And Derek was the apprentice at the side and he was a great presence to have on our trip overall I would say 100% recommend 10 out of 10.

Amazing Safari Cynthia Khalifa Derek
Cynthia was great to organize with. She was very responsive and gave us action information going into the weeks we were in Kenya. Our Tour driver. Khalifa was extremely skilled with over 20 years of experience. His driving was incredible as he never got stuck once and was able to get us very close to lion elephant and giraffes as well as cheetah going in for the kill. He had a great expertise along with his apprentice, Derek they made a great team. We were overall very happy with the food, with the transportation, a very great safari vehicle and great driver., and the tent was very big and comfortable, and we had a great time overall. Would definitely recommend.
Wonderful and unforgettable kenyan Safari
We booked the safari package for masai mara, lake naivasha and nakoru from axis africa safari. Miss Tabhitha gave us a wonderful budget package. Her response was very quick. We have enjoyed a lot with our tour guide captain khalifa. He is the man of safari. Khalifa has full knowledge of each and every animal and bird we saw during the safari. He is very responsible and feels like a family to us. Lunch and dinner provided was excellent as we are fully vegetarian. Hotels and camps they provided are neat and clean. People from axis african safari are very friendly. We highly recommend and thanks to both Tabhitha and khalifa for this wonderful trip.
Just finished the best 4 day safari with Axis Safaris! I have previously done one safari before in Sri Lanka and saw hardly anything, so my expectations were low to be honest. I was blown away by how many animals we saw - 4 out of the big 5! We saw lions sleeping, mating and eating from a buffalo carcass. (All different lions at separate occasions!) We saw loads of elephants, 3 cheetahs, lots of warthogs, hippos, both white and black rhinos and loads more. I was pleasantly surprised by how good the accommodation was, more like glamping in the masai mara with proper beds and toilets. I loved the campfire at night. They also catered to our dietary requirements, including my vegan friend. Our driver/guide Peter Kapino was amazing, spotting animals I wouldn't have noticed and driving through some tricky spots seemingly with little effort. I spoke to someone at our campsite who they said they'd helped at least 5 cars who had got stuck in the mud in the masai mara and even had a vehicle break down. The fact we didn't get stuck once is testament to the driving skills of Peter and the great safari vehicle. Thank you Axis Safaris - I wouldn't hesitate to recommend to friends and use again next time I'm in Kenya.

One of the best experience in my life
Doing a safari and discovering Kenya with Peter kapina was one of the most wonderful experiences of my life. The way he showed us Masai Mara, Nakuru, Naivasha, and Amboseli was incredible. We did a 7-day tour, and we think it was absolutely worth it—a perfect combination. Peter kapina took care of everything, and thanks to his experience, we were able to see many animals, enjoy amazing landscapes, and learn a lot from his knowledge about wildlife. I 100% recommend this tour!
Unforgettable 7-Day Safari in Kenya
We had an amazing 7-day safari through Masai Mara, Lake Nakuru, Lake Naivasha, and Amboseli, and Peter Kapino made the whole experience even better. He was incredibly patient and always put in the time and effort to make sure we saw animals from the best possible angles. Without rush, you could tell he was focused on giving us the best experience. Peter also has a deep knowledge of the wildlife and the areas we visited, which made every game drive more interesting and engaging. Everything with Axis was also very smooth and well organized, and Winnie was very helpful during the booking process. Would definitely recommend!

We had an amazing experience on our safari, and a huge part of that was thanks to our tour guide, Peter Kapino. He was incredibly patient with us, especially when we wanted to stop and take pictures—he never rushed us and made sure we had the best opportunities to capture everything. Peter K is also very knowledgeable and took the time to teach us about the animals, the environment, and everything we were seeing along the way. You can tell he truly cares about what he does. On top of that, he spent long hours driving and made sure we were always comfortable and safe. He was kind, professional, and overall just a great person to have guiding our trip. We’re so grateful to have had him as our guide—highly recommend!

We had the BEST experience on safari thanks to our guide and driver, Peter Kapino. He was with us the entire time, and honestly, he made the whole trip unforgettable. Peter is incredibly kind, patient, and knowledgeable. He took his time to make sure we saw as much as possible and never rushed us especially when we wanted to stop for photos (which was often 😅). He knows so much about the animals, the land, and the culture, and you can tell he truly loves what he does. What I appreciated most is how comfortable he made us feel. From day one, it didn’t feel like we were just client, it felt like we were traveling with a friend, even family. He’s very welcoming, easy to talk to, and just has such a good energy. If you’re planning a safari, I highly recommend Axis! Shoutout to Tabatha that made it easy to book! Very responsive and answered all questions! Safari tour was very organized and I am very happy for choosing Axis and that Peter Kapino was assigned as our tour guide!
An amazing experience!
The company was excellent and our tour guide, Kevin, was very knowledgeable. We saw everything we were hoping to see and more! Even though we went in mid-March, it never rained while we were doing game drives. The roads were a little treacherous in the rainy season, but the expert guide can drive on them in a way I never could have myself. I highly recommend the 4 day tour so that you can experience Lake Nukuru. All of the accommodations were wonderful - from the lovely glamping tent to the luxury hotel near Nukuru.
Best driver and important information.
We had a 3 day safari trip to Masai Mara with Khalifa as the driver and Derick as an extra hand. The two of them were very polite, helpfull and did their best to give us a great trip, which they very much did. They went above and beyond in giving us the best experience. When comparing our experience with the other vehicles we saw on the safari it was pretty clear that Khalifa and Derick were excellent at finding the animals, getting the best angles and definitely getting the closest. Being within 2,5 meters of a lion, cheetah, giant elephant and more is quite the experience. Khalifas experience in predicting the animals meant that we often got the best spot. And viewing the sun go down while watching a herd of elephants is a thing i will never forget. Important knowledge of going on safari is, that you should make sure that your vehicle is a proper offroad vehicle, like a Toyota Landcruiser and not a minibus. But also note that some of the vehicles are in disrepair and therefore do not have 4 wheel drive. The vehicle you get determines if you can go off the path and get closer to the animals or have to stay on the path and use your binoculars. (Hint you definitely want to zoom through the plains and get closer to the animals) However the most important thing to note is, that when it has rained the lesser vehicles get stuck. We had to help out a few times with people who were stuck, which was much preferred to being stuck ourselves. Unfortunately people from other safari agencies did get stuck and had to spend the night in their vehicle inside the park. As you can guess dining and toilet facilities are not the best when there are hungry Lions around. Fortunately the vehicle from Axis Safari was well maintained and fully functional and Khalifa was a world class offroad driver. The vehicles used for Safari are not equipped with toolkits, winches or other typical rescue gear, and the help can be a long ways away so choosing a good vehicle and driver like with Axis is a very good choice. I would definitely recommend going with Axis and if possible asking for Khalifa.
I want to give zero star to this company. Yaseen(Yasin) their guide was unprofessional and fought with us. No Indian should go along with this company. They were racist and the main company office was also the same. No great support. Let me explain - Worst guide ever. He was an absolute shame to the profession and completely ruined what should have been an enjoyable trip.
During the trip, he behaved very unprofessionally and even got into an argument with me and my wife, which was extremely uncomfortable and unacceptable for a guide who is supposed to make guests feel welcome and safe.
What made the experience even worse was his clear partiality and discriminatory attitude toward us because we are Indian. His behavior felt disrespectful and biased, which is completely unacceptable in the hospitality and tourism industry.
A guide represents the company and the destination, and unfortunately his conduct reflected very poorly on both. I strongly suggest the company take this feedback seriously and ensure that guides are trained to treat all guests with professionalism and respect.
