I have just completed Awesome Auslan online course level 1.
It's a great course, very well presented.The signs are clearly demonstrated, often with a cultural or historical note, which helps understand and remember the sign.
I love the downloads that I can print and stick to my fridge for a quick practice during the day. The voice over is helpful to start, and now, as an activity, I turn the sound off and practice reading the signs only.
Throughout the course, Michaela also gives great insights into the Deaf community's culture. It's just as valuable as vocabulary.
Michaela is a passionate and generous teacher, and makes it fun to learn! Thank you Michaela! I can't wait to start level 2!

Michaela facilitated a story time/nursery rhyme session at our play centre and it was fantastic. She has such a great ability to run an interactive and age appropriate class for the little ones, while educating the grown ups at the same time. She was very flexible during the session based on the needs of the attendees (intuitive to childrenās interests throughout the session, while some grown ups wanted more explanation) and she handled it seamlessly. In addition to this, Michaelaās extensive knowledge and her willingness to open up conversations about Auslan culture and the Deaf community, and her mission to raise awareness around the use of Auslan make her the perfect bridge to close gaps in knowledge and break down misconceptions. We will definitely be bringing Michaela back for more sessions for our community!

Michaela is a great teacher. Having face to face classes is very helpful for first timers. I learnt a lot in such a short time frame. Have signed up for online classes and will definitely take advantage of her next visits to Mackay

Michaela Reece has taught our company three years in a row and every time we get so much great feedback that we have to invite her back the next year!
