I had an appointment at Avalon Laser today for a Nefertiti lift, masseter Botox, and a lip flip, and I couldn’t be happier with my experience!
I followed Raiza here from another practice because she is truly one of a kind. I have had a severe fear of needles since I was a child, and she has always gone above and beyond to make me feel comfortable, calm, and cared for. She takes the time to listen to your concerns, understand your goals, and never makes you feel rushed.
Raiza is incredibly patient and understanding. I have even fainted during appointments before, and she has always been so kind, waiting for me to recover and making sure I’m okay before continuing. She does everything she can to make the experience easier, including using numbing cream, distraction techniques, and even a fan to help keep me comfortable throughout the treatment.
If you have anxiety about injections or are looking for someone who genuinely cares about their patients, I cannot recommend Raiza enough. She is professional, compassionate, and truly the best at what she does. I will absolutely continue coming back to Avalon Laser because of her!

I've been doing laser hair removal at Avalon Laser and I'm already seeing amazing results! I recently went to Hawaii and didnt have to shave at all, which made vacation so much more convenient and stress-free. On June 21, 2025, I visited Avalon Laser to treat a few facial spider veins after seeing the doctor’s work on social media. What I expected to be a routine cosmetic procedure unfortunately resulted in serious complications (see photos attached, with dates).
Shortly after the treatment, leaky blisters formed, and about a week later they developed into scabs. When the scabs eventually came off, many areas appeared deeply indented and damaged. During virtual follow-up consultations, I was told the healing process appeared to be normal. However, my skin continued to worsen, and I later sought care at an ER, where the injuries were documented as burns and I was referred for dermatologic follow-up.
Avalon Laser offered additional treatment options, including a CO2 laser session or microneedling. I did undergo one CO2 laser session with them, but ultimately decided not to continue treatment there because I no longer felt comfortable in the hands of a nurse instead of a doctor's.
To their credit, the clinic checked in with me virtually on a regular basis and offered encouragement during the healing process. However, my recovery has been much longer and more challenging than I expected based on how my skin appeared.
Nine months later, I have consulted with several specialists and undergone 7 procedures in an effort to improve my skin. The recovery process has been lengthy, painful, expensive and uncertain. The clinic refunded the cost of the original treatment, which I appreciated, but it has not come close to covering the many additional medical visits, treatments, medications, and skincare products I have needed since then.
The emotional impact has also been very difficult. For weeks I struggled to sleep and often cried at night. I became withdrawn and stopped seeing friends because I felt embarrassed about my appearance. What began as a simple cosmetic procedure has turned into a long and ongoing nightmare.
I attempted to pursue compensation through legal counsel and sent a demand letter, but I did not receive a response. I also followed up by email without success.
I am sharing my personal experience so that others can be aware and carefully consider their options before undergoing treatment.

Nurse Briana is truly exceptional. She has an incredibly light hand, takes her time, and is extremely attentive to every concern, question, and pre/post-procedure detail. My CO2 laser treatment with her was handled with such precision and care, and the results have been amazing. The face filler she did for me looks more than natural - exactly the kind of subtle, beautiful result every woman hopes for. You can tell she genuinely cares about her work and her clients. I’m so glad I stumbled upon Avalon Laser in Carlsbad. I’ve been getting Botox, PRP treatments, and facials for years at different med spas, so I’ve had plenty of experiences to compare. This was my first visit here, and I was extremely impressed.
Brianna, the RN who did my Botox, was amazing. She took the time to really assess my face and what I actually needed instead of just using a standard number of units. I ended up needing about half the Botox I had been getting at other places, and it was also about half the price. The results look incredibly natural and honestly better than what I’ve had done elsewhere.
I also just had a microneedling facial and couldn’t be happier with the experience. The treatment was professional and comfortable.
Jessica at the front desk is wonderful as well. She’s incredibly patient, friendly, and very helpful when it comes to scheduling and working with you on pricing.
If you’re looking for Botox, microneedling, PRP, or a great med spa in Carlsbad, I highly recommend Avalon Laser. I’m really happy I found this place and will definitely be coming back.

I came to Dr Tirgari with a botched surgery; after having been turned away, given inflated estimates, and even been insulted by other doctors, with Dr Tirgari I felt like I was talking to one of the star doctors from the Botched tv show, he was just as empathetic and kind. From the moment you walk in and Jessica greets you, you immediately feel welcome. The lobby is inviting and relaxing and each treatment room is clean and comfortable.
