The instructors demonstrate strong technical expertise while maintaining a supportive and professional learning environment. Instruction is structured, progressive, and designed to build both competence and confidence.
Throughout the course, I observed consistent attention to rider development, safety, and skill refinement. The team creates a culture of accountability and encouragement that allows riders to progress quickly while feeling supported.

“I highly Recommend Austin Moto Adventures” is an understatement.
The instruction was top tier! Patient, technical, thorough, and incredibly encouraging. In just a few days I gained confidence on terrain I never would have attempted before (sand, rocks, mud, gravel, water crossings! You name it).
What sets them apart is the culture. The team genuinely wants you to succeed. They push you in the best way possible and celebrate your growth along the way.
It was such an amazing experience and by far the best decision I’ve made for my ADV journey.
If you’re serious about improving your off-road skills and riding confidence, this is the place.
Bottom line up front, I feel tremendously more confident in my riding ability after completing the course and I highly recommend it.
First, the overall customer experience is great. Rob, the client liaison, was extremely friendly and helpful answering my questions and setting up a rental for me prior to enrollment. Once you arrive for training, you never have to leave the site. I appreciated this because I could focus completely on training and building relationships with the instructors and other students, making the weekend extremely educational, engaging, and fun. Additionally, the actual training grounds and accommodations are amazing. There is no shortage of terrain to ride on and I slept great every night in my cabin.
Second, all of the instructors and staff are professional, knowledgeable, and approachable. The training days are very well structured and there is no wasted time. You will make rapid improvements as a result while also having a ton of fun. Additionally, speaking to my first point, the instructors stay on site with you after the training day is over. This makes it easy to get feedback on your riding, ask questions, and better connect with the people training you at the end of the training day.
Third, socializing with the other students throughout the two and a half days of training adds to the positive environment. People encourage each other on drills, help each other pick up bikes after a fall, and generally just make the experience more fun. You make connections and riding buddies that will last after the course is over.

Are you looking for the ultimate off-road adventure training? Well, I just completed the Level 1 course with Austin Moto Adventures in Burnet, TX and I must say that this was a top tier training program with great facilities. No other training program in TX can rival the Tribe you get at Austin Moto Adventures.
Let’s start with the first impression. When you arrive, you are greeted with beautiful hill country views as you ride to the base camp. Upon arrival to camp, you are greeted by the staff for introductions and cabin assignments. The amenities were a perfect balance of rustic & cozy and they are centrally located within the camp.
Once everyone arrives, you are given a welcome brief and go through introductions. This training is an all inclusive experience, so you are provided hot delicious meals throughout your stay.
The training areas are a great mix of dirt, mud and rocky trails. The topography also varies from flat training areas to steep hilly trails that are perfect for hill climbs and of course the creek bottoms with a mix of dirt and rocky trails.
The instructors all come from experienced riding backgrounds and have gone through the training themselves to get certified. They were all very patient, and I never felt discouraged or defeated. Even during my moments of frustration, the staff were there to encourage me and coach me through my challenges. This was instrumental in my success. Quitting wasn’t an option when you have great coaches!
On day 3, after we completed all of our training, we were rewarded with a property ride through the ranch. This was a culminating experience that allowed us to utilize all the skills we learned. This was really an eye opening moment, because it apparent how much we learned over the weekend. Prior to the training, I would have turned around on most of these trails. However, This training was confidence inspiring and I’m ready to hit the BDR’s with more skills and confidence.
Best of all, you’ll be part of a tribe. A fellowship of likeminded adventurist who are all passionate about having fun on 2 wheels!

What an awesome weekend! Everything from the rental bikes, the amenities, the truly delicious food, the training grounds, just everything was excellent. But it was the instructors and the people that really stand out. The other folks in the training were great and there was tons of camaraderie. And, I have to make a point to say that the people and community at Austin Moto Adventures are what really make the experience stand out. They were really good at their craft and came at it with an ego-less approach. TJ, Rob, Eric, Scott, Billy, Philip, and even the resident master mechanic, Bradley, made a point to come over and offer helpful tips and encouragement (I know I left someone out there--apologies). I look forward to coming back and learning more.

If you’re interested in Adventure motorcycle riding you cannot pick a better place than Austin Moto Adventures to start your journey. A truly dedicated staff to ensure that you learn to ride the right way and stay as safe as possible while doing it. From the minute you arrive to the time you leave you will feel welcome. I came into this training with decades of on-road riding experience but minimal off-road background. I’ve loved my Pan America for the past year on pavement, but I knew it was capable of so much more — and I was finally ready to find out what that looked like beyond the asphalt.
This training wasn’t just something fun to try; it felt essential. Stepping into a whole new riding discipline at this stage in my life was exhilarating and intimidating all at once. But your team made it one of the most empowering choices I’ve ever made.
Rob, TJ, and Grayson, and the entire training team, pour so much energy, effort, and heart into their sessions that it’s genuinely mind-blowing. Their commitment, patience, humor, and dedication created an environment where I felt supported, challenged, safe, and capable from the very first moment. I am exceptionally grateful for them and everything they poured into my growth.
On day two, I woke up sore, exhausted, and fighting that little voice we all hate — the one that whispers maybe you’re not cut out for this. For a moment, I questioned whether I had pushed myself too far out of my comfort zone. But what got me out of bed, geared up, and back on that bike wasn’t ego or pressure — it was the instructors. Knowing how much passion and commitment they were giving every single one of us made me want to rise to the occasion. I didn’t want to let them down. Their dedication pushed me past doubt and allowed me to step fully into this experience.

Rob, TJ, Grayson, Eric, Bradley, and the rest of the crew led a merry band of bikers over hill, over dale and around a dusty, rocky, hilly, sandy trail over 3 days of whoops, thrills and spills as we learned the ropes of off road motorcycling. I can't recommend Austin Moto Adventures strongly enough, just go do this thing. Skills and techniques were taught and demonstrated with exacting detail and constant reinforcement including the good the bad and my uglies.
Dang it, my eyes are UP! Yours will be too after you complete this course.
The cabins were clean and cozy, heat or AC as you need. The meals were tasty and plentyful and after ride time, the bar was open.
Friends were made, the bruises will fade but the memories and friends made will last forever.

Wow! I just completed 7-days of thoroughly enjoying Austin Moto Adventures (AMA) ‘Ouray Colorado Expedition’. The experience did not disappoint; it absolutely exceeded my expectations! The mountain accommodations were very good, the food superb, and riding fabulous. Despite living only 125-miles from Ouray and occasionally riding the mountainous region during the past 10+/- years, AMA introduced me to some awesome routes that were totally new for me! The AMA Team had a large knowledge of routes from which they ‘picked and choose’ from to match various rider’s abilities, desired ride length, trail conditions, and ever changing weather. All the routes ridden had ‘eye popping’ scenery! If you want a Colorado mountain adventure riding experience, the Ouray Colorado Expedition is a must do!
I recently had the pleasure of taking the Advanced course (level 3) with Austin Moto Adventures, and I can't recommend them highly enough! The cadre are truly exceptional, providing expert guidance and support throughout the entire experience. I cannot imagine that there is a better location to go and train. The Staff and the facility are world-class. The motorcycles that are provided are expertly maintained and ready for the ride! There are so many positives that it would be hard to list them all. I have been a motorcycle safety coach for over 35 years and the level of training that the instructors provided to me improved my ADV skills and techniques 100%!.

Training was very well structured and representative of real world adv riding. Coaches and accommodations were also top notch. I had my reserves on the terrain being it was Texas and held on a private ranch, but both the natural features as well as the training obstacles that were built were very diverse. They did an excellent on creating such a variety of terrain.
