My first trip with Ollie to Chile and Bolivia was amazing. We visited so many unique locations and most of the time we had the locations to ourselves. From the crystal clear night skies in Chile to the amazing landscapes in Bolivia, Ollie went above and beyond to help us get the shots we wanted.
I just finished another trip to Slovenia with Ollie and had a great time. Ollie always spends the time to get us to the best locations for the conditions and I appreciate the effort and time that goes into this, particularly when the weather doesn’t play nice. Thanks Ollie & Elly for another fun experience.
Just finished an AMAZING week with Ollie and Elly in Slovenia. The amount of time and preparation that they both did to ensure this trip ran smoothly was great.
Ollie was fantastic in sharing his knowledge and assistance with all of us in the group at each location and in particular - night photography as we had the Super Moon on one night of the trip.
Can highly recommend Ollie Taylor Photography tours from beginners to advanced photographers.

I went on my first trip with Ollie to the Dolomites, and it was a fantastic. He was committed to making sure that the group was at the right place at the right time and was monitoring the weather reports and location cams to make sure that happened for us. He had a great rapport with the group, and his enthusiasm for astrophotography was infectious. Highly recommend.
This was my first astrophotography workshop and I was delighted to work with Ollie in Tenerife in 2025. The locations for photography were really fantastic and our accommodation was really first class which helped enormously after each late night. Due to a serious illness the previous year, I went to the workshop with a view to relearn most of my astrophotography processes and processing of Images which Ollie was kind enough to provide guidance and great fun to be around! I also wanted to see a real dark sky with no clouds (unlike here in Ireland). Thank you Ollie!
I would recommend the Tenerife workshop and Ollie as instructor. My advice to get the most out of this particular workshop is to have more than a basic understanding to operate a star tracking device as you will definitely get more out of the workshop. Also for post-processing sessions, a good understanding of Photoshop is very helpful. Some level of fitness also required as walking with gear for 20-25 minutes will be needed on occasion.

I recently (2025) returned from an astrophotography adventure in the breathtaking landscapes of Chile's Atacama Desert and Bolivia's Uyuni Salt Flats. From start to finish, the thoughtful organization and genuine passion for astrophotography made this experience truly unforgettable. I will never forget arriving onto the Salar, with flamingos flying around and the sunset pumping in the sky and reflection.
Ollie is great at catering to enthusiastic beginners (myself included) to seasoned astrophotographers (with Dwarfs and all!) —ensuring everyone gained invaluable insights and left with stunning images.
The locations were pre scouted with dramatic foregrounds in mind, taking us to some of the most awe-inspiring and secluded spots ideal for capturing the night sky at its absolute best.
As the trip covers landscape photography and astro, it’s perfect as you get to witness and photograph the day landscape but also already be thinking about your night composition.
Looking forward to the next adventure!
Just back from my latest adventure with Ollie to Chile and Bolivia, and it was hands down the best one yet! Every trip with him is an incredible experience, but this time really stood out. Even on the other side of the world, Ollie had scouted out the most unique and breathtaking locations — stunning views, crystal-clear night skies like nowhere else, and nearly always to ourselves.
What truly sets Ollie’s workshops apart is the care he puts into planning and how dedicated he is to making sure everyone has the best possible experience. He’s always available with expert guidance, tips for capturing that perfect shot, and handles any unexpected hiccups with calm professionalism. You always feel safe, supported, and free to just enjoy the adventure.
Already looking forward to the next one!
I just returned from Ollie's Greenland workshop and I am not sure if it can get any better than this. This has been my 4th workshop with Ollie and was certainly not my last. Long story short: if you are looking for highly professional workshops in amazing locations with a great guy who is always going the extra mile look no further.
Had a wonderful trip with Ollie Taylor to the Lofoten Islands in Norway. His ability and enthusiasm to find the best photographic spots for us was first-rate. He also did a phenomenal job in setting us up for some great aurora viewing (luck needed too!). Great personality. Have already booked another trip with Ollie Taylor Photography.

Thanks Christopher Chu it was a pleasure meeting and working with you
Ollie is a passionate and talented photographer with excellent knowledge of different landscapes and countries. I would highly recommend him to anyone wishing to take their photography to the next step and explore new terrain. He is very trustworthy, reliable and a good laugh. Thanks Ollie for a memorable trip.
Recently attended the La Palma course with Ollie and would highly recommend this to anyone with a love for Astrophotography.
Ollie’s knowledge of the area and what would be visible where, meant every trip out we came back with a variety of images and no location was a dud. He also helped massively with planning your own trips and gave a great guide on PhotoPills.
Ollie also assisted me greatly with the technical side as I’ve never imaged the Milky Way with a DSLR, yet I came away feeling like a pro! After this and his post-processing guide I now have pictures I’d be happy to hang on my walls!
I'm a long-term client of Ollie's and that I keep going back speaks volumes. Ollie's workshops and tours are a cut-above the rest, for sure. He knows his stuff, his locations and is only too keen to do all that he can to ensure that his clients get the best out of their time with him.
On a recent trip to Iceland with him (December 2022), he completely rearranged the itinerary on the fly, hunting out the best weather. For astrophotography or, in this case, Aurora, that's clear skies predominantly. Most, if not all, other photographers set their itinerary, book their accommodation well in advance and will stick with it come hell or high water (or, in the case of Iceland, blizzards and meters of snow). That sets Ollie apart.
I will certainly use Ollie again; Iceland once more in December 2023 and Madeira in June 2024 are already booked.
In short ... Ollie is a good guy. Give him a try ... you won't regret it.
My first photo workshop was done in a very spontaneous way when I was looking to improve my skills in landscape photography and especially astrophotography.
So I joined Ollie's Dolomites workshop at the last minute and I really don't regret it.
So it was only natural that I chose him for a second workshop in La Palma and I'm sure it won't be the last one...
He gives his all to satisfy you despite sometimes hazards beyond his control, regardless of your physical level or photography.
Thank you very much Ollie for all these moments and memories and see you soon for a next workshop under the stars...
I've recently come back from one of Ollie Taylor's Astrophotography trips to La Palma which was so good I immediately booked on next years trip. Having been on several of his workshops over the years, the one thing in common with all of them is that he puts 100% into ensuring that everyone gets the best out of it whether you're a beginner or more experienced and despite the vagaries of the weather (a perennial nightmare for astrophotography). I can thoroughly recommend his workshops and guided trips, you certainly won't be disappointed by his professional approach and of course his skills as a superb landscape and astro-photographer, skills he happily shares with you to improve your own efforts.
I joined Ollie for a workshop in Tenerife in May 2022. I would highly recommend joining one of these workshops; Ollie is very knowledgeable, experienced and great to work with. This was my first workshop with Ollie and he exceeded my expectations.
The main point of a workshop is to learn something new and come away with some new skills, and I certainly did.
Ollie comes highly recommended. I’m just back from his astrophotography workshop in Tenerife during which we learned some entirely new (to me) ways to photograph the Milky Way. How to scout locations very precisely in advance, how to use star trackers and why/when to use various focal lengths. We got plenty of practice in some wonderful locations. He knows his stuff and is very well prepared (he’s constantly making and re-making plans to dodge bad weather/make the most of the time).
