As I had stated in my email following receipt of your review it is a disappointing that you did not contact myself as your appointed party wall surveyor to discuss your dissatisfaction. You had been liaising with my colleague who in fact would not have been able to have carried out a final inspection visit due to lockdown restrictions and being temporarily furloughed. I was unaware of issues you are having in terms of arranging the final inspection visit.
Having looked into your project and conferred with my colleague I understand that a party wall Award was agreed within a short timeframe of two weeks following your commencement of works and there being no formal agreement with your neighbour in place. I cannot see how you would have been out of pocket given that we had made a party wall agreement promptly for you to recommence works your works and to make good damage to the party wall arising from your works.
Having completed the notifiable party wall works and made good damage I understand you were pursuing for us to check that there has been no further damage and that the making good has been undertaken satisfactorily. I believe that both you and my colleague had endeavoured to contact the neighbouring landlord in February this year however were unsuccessful in making appointment. When contact was made unfortunately government lockdown restrictions came into effect which meant for obvious reasons, we were unable to take any internal inspections.
In any case following your review I have made the final inspection and closed this matter.
