Had a fantastic live drawing class here. It was my first time drawing. We had timed intervals where the model would retain 1 pose and we had to draw them. The teacher would be circulating, critiquing and helping you improve technique and showing you strategies to structure your work. It was fascinating and intense. I enjoyed being present in the moment. It was beginner friendly and the teacher was brilliant in helping you grow.
I accidentally discovered this place and since then I have been attending classes and workshops. The instructor(s) are good, speak English, and very patient. My instructor is truly interested in improving my art skills, even takes me for outdoor sketching exercises. They provide wide variety of classes - composition, charcoal and pencil sketching, silk painting, water and oil color painting, etc. The studio is spacious and has the vibe of an artist loft.
From the moment I was greeted on a rainy Monday morning, I felt at home. Such a welcoming, cozy atmosphere. The instructor took time to learn my level of art experience and then offered excellent support and advice. The art class is one of the highlights of my visit to Vietnam.

Une bulle dans la frénésie d’Hanoi. Un lieu magnifique avec un enseignement de qualité (accompagnement individualisé) ou chacun travail à son rythme et avec les matériaux de son choix. J’étais de passage à Hanoï (3 jours), Arttutor a été une belle découverte.

Really enjoyed our time here. It’s very peaceful, making it the perfect location to relax and be creative. The staff was accommodating and supplied us with any/everything we asked for. Would highly recommend this for anyone who wants to “get away” from HN for a bit and tap into their creativity.

I’m no expert when it comes to painting. In fact, I’m an absolute beginner. I signed up for Mr. Ân’s oil and canvas painting class without knowing exactly what to expect. I loved it! Mr. Ân patiently answered my many uninformed questions and provided great constructive feedback during the session. I walked away in excitement with the discovery of a new hobby.
The work space was bright with diffuse natural light and found it very calming and inspirational with all the great work around me.
If you’re at all interested in giving painting a whirl, even if it’s only just for one day, I’d strongly recommend that you sign up for this course. Thank you so much, Mr. Ân!
