It's unfortunate to have to say but my experience with artisan was negative. I'm a first-time author and I wrote a book for educators regarding educational leadership, and inspiration. Artisan put my book in the category of mystery and detective work. They do not do a good job of getting back with a first-time author who has a lot of questions, they published my book color, when I distinctly told them I wanted in black and white, and they missed multiple deadlines. My suggestion to first-time authors would be to use another publishing company.
Formatting was something I underestimated until I saw the difference it makes. Their team gave my book a polished, professional look with proper alignment, headings, and layouts. Both the Kindle version and print copy looked flawless, and readers noticed the quality. It added a lot of credibility to my work.
I had an excellent experience with Artisan Publishings. The publishing team took care of everything-editing, design, and distribution while keeping me updated at every stage. What stood out most was their marketing support. They didn't just publish my book, they made sure readers actually discovered it. The launch campaign was creative, effective, and brought me sales far beyond my expectations.
