You will not find a better, more qualified Chiropractor in Birmingham. I’ve received chiropractic care for nearly 20 years from several doctors literally across the globe and can honestly say Dr. Andrew is top of the list. His knowledge and expertise are exceptional and his care is great.
I came to Archetype looking to fix some minor back pain from a previous injury, and this place has been amazing! The staff is welcoming, Dr. Drew is excellent, and the exercises/muscle work have made a huge difference. I’m feeling great and actually look forward to my sessions! Highly recommend this place!
Dr. Drew is awesome! He is very knowlegeable and personable. I had been struggling with lower back pain, that did not improve with physical therapy, for over 2 years. At Archetype, Dr. Drew created a customized care plan fo me that included not only chiropractic care, but also massage, red light, piezowave, and lymphatic therapies. After only a few appointments with Dr. Drew, I felt considerably better and after 2 months, consistently pain-free!
Dr. Drew is amazing. He took me last minute three weeks ago. I could barely walk, couldn’t pick anything up, couldn’t get out of bed without hurting, wasn’t comfortable laying down and the pain was unbearable. I decided to call Archetype due to their holistic approach. Dr. Drew has done nothing but be attentive, caring, and gentle in his approach. I felt I may need surgery or even medication, Dr. Drew was able to relieve the pain and help me without any of that after just one visit.
He has given me knowledge of what he’s doing while he’s doing it and he even checks in outside of appointments to see how things are going.

There's so much to say I don't know where to begin. I was able to be seen almost immediately after a friend referred me. I was seeing another practice that was making a shoulder/neck situation worse after 5 weeks and I knew I was worried I was headed for surgical intervention the way I had pain. (I had never had shoulder/rotator cuff pain before.) After Dr. Drew saw me the first time, I was at about 85-90% relief immediately. Within 4 visits in the first month, I'm now back to pain free and wish I had found this place years ago. The location is easy to get to from work and home with morning or afternoon appointments available. I have not used other things that are offered here but hope to in the near future. The staff is friendly and easy to work with and I also love that they start off with massage therapy instead of those roller beds and e-stim that everyone else wants to use. Highly recommend this place and you won't regret it if you're in pain!
I’ve been occasionally going to a chiropractor for the past 10ish years for migraines, which keeps them in check.
What’s great about Archetype is Dr John and the staff actually listen to you/your body and provide targeted therapies vs a general crick-crack out the door in 10min.
Best of all—I got introduced to Lymphatic massage with Angie due to some unresolved pain from previous injuries. Pain was gone after a few sessions, and now experiencing so many other improvements from the lymphatic work. I would have never thought to try it out if not for the staff listening to me and being knowledgeable enough to fill in the gaps.
GREAT SERVICE - I was late due to traffic
(15 Mins) they were extremely kind about it. I also was soaking wet from the torrential down pour that caused the traffic & they immediately offered me towels & water. They thoroughly explain everything & listen so well. Everyone I encountered was so so so kind. I feel great today, post 24 hour adjustment & look forward to my next appointment!
Archetype is the best chiropractic clinic! About 7 months ago I was having major shoulder and neck pain. I had been a patient at a different practice for 3 years and the pain just persisted. To the point I was considering going to the orthopedic surgeon. But something made me just google chiropractors near my work. I am SO glad I did! Dr. John and his team are AMAZING! I called and the receptionist scheduled me the next day. When I met Dr. John and discussed the plan of treatment, I just knew I was at the right place. We discussed the treatment including chiropractic care, nutrition, and massage therapies. I just felt like he was including the over all body, which I love! Now it has been 7 months since my first appointment and I have NO shoulder or neck pain!! My body feels incredible! I tell everyone about Archetype and the amazing team!!! ❤️
I was prepared to get surgery on my herniated disc(s) in my neck and Dr. John and the team have given me complete relief to where I don't even think about it anymore... Their nutritonal guidance has given me a tremendous boost in energy and a much better guideline for how to live an active lifestyle all the while focusing on proper recovery. I came to Archetype on the recommendation of a good friend. I have struggled with pain in my arms for the last 2 years and even had to change what I was doing in my day to day life to lessen the severity. Over the last 3 months that I’ve been coming I have had so many days that I’ve been completely pain free. Enough to where I will start back normal activities that I had to stop so I wouldn’t aggravate my pain. I cannot express how great it is to just experience being out of pain on a daily basis and to be hopeful about getting back to activities I enjoy. I love how Dr John takes time with his patients and really gets to know what’s going on and what concerns they have. I never feel rushed and I feel seen as an individual and not just a chart number. I’m thankful, excited and optimistic about my progress.

The team at Archetype is truly awesome! I started seeing Dr. John about halfway through my third pregnancy at the recommendation of my midwife. This was my second pregnancy dealing with a debilitating pelvic condition called SPD, and I couldn’t imagine going five more months in the amount of constant pain I was in. Even movements as basic as walking and rolling over in bed hurt. After my first visit, I noticed an incredible difference in how I was able to move. The pain decreased so much right away, and regular visits to Archetype kept me moving—and even able to keep up with working out—until the end of my pregnancy. I’m so thankful for the genuine care I’ve received from everyone there!

I’ve never been to a chiropractor that cares about more than adjustments, but Archetype is the place. Dr. John and Dr. Brandon focus on alignment, mobility and nutrition. They really care about making the entire body healthy.
