My dad & I had a wonderful tour of the Appian way with Alex. Alex was incredibly knowledgeable but also engaging, funny, and relatable. The tour was well paced, broken up between explanations and discussions, with plenty of opportunities for questions and photo breaks. The Appian way is an incredible historical experience and a peaceful introduction to Rome. We would not hesitate to recommend Alex’s tour to anyone visiting Rome .

The most exciting, useful, fun, active, cool thing you can do in Rome. We could have spent all day in the company of Alex. His relaxed entertaining way to share his knowledge and his encouragement to solve unanswered questions from the past made this tour a highlight of our holiday. One of the best things we did in Rome!! Highly recommend doing a tour with Alex. He is super knowledgeable, answered every question we had and has a great sense of humour! We learnt heaps on our walk through the Appian Way - and saw some amazing ruins left around which we never would’ve seen without Alex’s guidance. On top of all this Alex gave us some amazing restaurants recommendations! Definitely will be telling anyone I know coming to Rome to book a tour - it was fab!

I highly recommend this fantastic e-bike tour of the Appian Way with Alex. The e-bikes are a great way to see this large area and are comfortable and easy to ride. We did not know much about this area of Rome beforehand but through Alex’s detailed and engaging stories we learned a lot. Alex clearly loves sharing his knowledge of Ancient Rome, and modern Rome too - his list of great bars, gelato and restaurants was a plus. I think the mark of a great tour guide is how they engage with you and he managed to make us feel like we were out for a bike ride on a pleasant Autumn morning with a friend. Bravo!

Of all the tours avaliable in Rome, Appia with Alex is the "must do". It really doesn't matter if you're a Roman history nut, or a complete novice. Alex is always informative, always fun and does an amazing job at bringing Rome and Roman history to life. It was the highlight of our holiday. Plus you will come away with a lot of quiz facts to annoy people with!!

Fun guide. Well organized. Knowledgeable took the group i was on on a walking tour of the apian way. Saw sights i never knew about despite having been to rome before. Its also a beautiful walk in the countryside without really having to leave rome.

Our Appia Way e-bike tour with Alex was one of the absolute highlights of our visit to Rome. His relaxed and fun personality, combined with incredible historical knowledge of everything Roman made for a delightful afternoon and a much broader understanding of the Roman Empire than we would have had otherwise. His tour is a true gem and we would recommend it to anyone. And that’s coming from a middle aged mom with 2 teenagers!
