We had an amazing freediving experience with Arturo in Gozo. I’ve been to Malta several times, but this was my first time in Gozo — and I loved it even more. The island is beautiful, calmer, and the perfect escape from the hustle of Malta. If you’re looking for peaceful vibes and stunning landscapes, this is the place. Arturo is an excellent instructor: professional, calm, and incredibly knowledgeable, with a great sense of humor! We always felt safe, well guided, and really enjoyed the positive energy throughout the whole experience. Highly recommended if you want to explore freediving in Gozo. Last week I took the advanced free diving course of Apnea Total alongside a cave diving safari day with Arturo, our very experienced diving teaching, whom I be already had the pleasure to do the beginners course with on Malta main island two years ago. Just like last time I felt completely safe and the provided knowledge as well as Arturo's comforting company helped me to overcome my inner monkey in order to relax and dive in peace. The course is systematic and well structured and there are many different dive sights that Arturo chose from depending on the conditions. The equipment ist perfect. I like Gozo, in comparison two the main island it is a bit more rural, much more beautiful landscape, terassed small scale agriculture and beautiful wild cliff coasts. I recommend a renting a car. Thank you Arturo, it has been a great experience! See you soon, maybe in Madeira next time!

I have known Arturo for a few years now. What a great surprise to meet him again on the island of Gozo to explore new caves and benefit from his many tips to feel increasingly comfortable in the water. Gozo is the ideal place for freediving: a calm, relaxing island, perfect for apnea but also for spearfishing. And I can assure you that Arturo knows the right spots to see beautiful fish: blue runner, barracuda, sar, etc. If you need a break, want to discover freediving or improve your skills, to reconnect with what truly matters, look no further.

My fiance and I spent 10 days learning to free dive with Arturo. He was hands-down the best instructor across any discipline I've had the pleasure of learning from. He knows his craft, is a total expert, extremely patient and a natural teacher. This trip was very memorable for my fiance and I. We were not strong swimmers and warned that we were not comfortable in the open water. By the end of our sessions with him, we were comfortable diving, swimming, and had a new found love for the water. We would recommend this to anyone that's interested in challenging themselves. Will definitely be back whenever we can.

Highest recommendation to freedive with Apnea Total Malta, especially with Reggi!!! I did the Freediving beginner class (2days) and truely loved it. Was the first time for me to do Freediving and I came in with the ability to maybe dive to 3-4m. During the two days Reggi explained us all the theory behind Freediving, showed us breathing techniques and patiently answered all of our questions. Both days we went to the ocean to put the theory to Praxis and learned how to freedive in an amazing divesite! During the Sessions in water Reggi guided every participant in 1:1 sessions in there own speed dive after dive and helped me to get to 20m comfortably within the two days. With all her experience and professionalism she can give you all the confidence and safety you need when diving for the first time and at the same time she’s super funny and energetic to get you hyped up after every dive. Would recommend the course with her to everyone out there looking for a good start to Freediving!

Had two days of instruction and diving with Arturo in Gozo following my Level 2 with him in Malta last year. I felt very safe and relaxed throughout and reminded me how enjoyable free diving is with such excellent guidance. It is hard to find places back home in the UK to do such diving and this has made the trip to Gozo very worthwhile.

We turned up in Malta with no plans and walked past the dive shop. Despite being very busy they found a way to make it work with Arturo and Reggie taking us for two sessions. They were fantastic. Very knowledgeable and skilled in teaching I had some experience from underwater hockey and my wife had no experience but they managed to hone in on what we needed to learn/understand or in my case unlearn. All in all we had a fantastic experience a great set of theory sessions and two great practical would highly recommend the guys at Apnea to help get you free diving with the basics to a good level. 10/10 would go again!

I completed my free diver course and advanced free diver with Apnea Total Malta. I had an amazing instructor Reggi who I would like to thank for her expert knowledge and amazing support and guidance. She provided me with so much technical information and practical support the whole way through the course, knowing exactly what I am feeling and to teach me to improve. I have learnt so much. Reggi was very patient, attentive to detail and strict with me when she needed to be 😀 my duck dive needed some work and the leg kicking when I was supposed to be doing free immersion 🤭 difficult habit to break! I hope I can return and train with Apnea Total Malta more in the future! I have progressed so much from beginner to long breath holds and deep diving in this past week and I am excited for my future progression within freediving
