Bought a new Mercury Kicker Pro and Nick was phenomenal to work with. No pressure, all knowledge. Super consistent and great communication. Had an issue after breaking engine in. Devan and his team went ABOVE and BEYOND in their explanations to ensure my worries were addressed. Communication was top-notch as was speed of work and ease of drop-off and pick-up. Because of this treatment, I will choose Alberni Power and Marine for my next engine, and will happily recommend any friends to do the same. It's easy to be honest, and these guys truly are the best!

Nick was amazing! He helped my partner every step of the way and provided excellent guidance. We knew nothing about outboards just two months ago, and Nick took the time to explain the differences between the 30 HP and 40 HP models, making the whole process easy to understand. He has the best prices in BC, is incredibly knowledgeable, and even registered the outboard for the warranty. My partner ended up purchasing a 30ELPTH and couldn’t be happier with the experience. Die Mechaniker, das Verkaufspersonal und alle anderen Mitarbeiter vom Chef bis zu den Leuten von der Reparaturannahme, sind super freundlich und hilfsbereit. Outstanding workmanship, communication, and trust. I can’t say enough good things about Alberni Power & Marine and Brad Armstrong. They handled a major repower and extensive custom work on my Campion Victoria 215, and the entire experience—from initial planning through final sea trials—was first class. This was not a simple job, and Brad took the time to explain options, costs, trade-offs, and sequencing clearly and honestly at every step. The quality of workmanship is exceptional. The transom work, reinforcement, pod build, rigging, bilge cleanup, steering, plumbing, and overall layout were done to a level that exceeded my expectations. The boat not only looks fantastic, it runs beautifully and handles better than it ever did before. Everything was done cleanly, thoughtfully, and with pride. I’ve added a couple of photos because the quality of the work really speaks for itself. Communication was another standout. Brad provided regular updates, photos, and straightforward answers throughout the project. Even with a busy shop, I always felt informed and confident about what was happening and why. That kind of transparency builds real trust—especially when you’re investing significantly in a boat. They were also incredibly accommodating during our visit to Port Alberni, helping coordinate launch and haul-out, winter work planning, and even small details that made our time on the water seamless. If you’re looking for a marine shop that combines technical expertise, integrity, and genuine customer care, Alberni Power & Marine is the real deal. I live in the Fraser Valley, I purchased my 9.9 Mercury Pro kicker and had a remote steering system installed at Alberni Power and Marine. The staff was more than helpful and knowledgeable. My boat was powered with a 70 HP Yamaha, the boat is rated for a 90 HP. I just had the boat re-powered with a 90 HP Mercury. Again the staff went above and beyond from Nick in sales to Dave and the techs in Service. Would definitely recommend using them for any of your boating needs whether for servicing or upgrading your power. Thank you for making both the purchase of the kicker and the re-power seamless. I tested the boat out after having the 90 hp Mercury installed it performed well with 2 people in it but would not come out of the hole shot and on to plane with 3 or 4 people on board. I contacted the Service department and Devan and I worked out a plan to test a different pitch propeller we went from a 15 to a 13 pitch and the performance was where it should be the max RPM increased and the boat performed as it should. I would like to thank Devan and the team for their rapid response and willingness to work with me to resolve the issue. Great customer service as always!
