I financed over 20 pieces of equipment and have always leased to a carrier and under their insurance policy.
I provided AP with the lease and insurance certificate covering the trailer and listing them as loss payee. they continue to ignore and put additional insurance program on the equipment.
Edit: This was a lack of direct communication. After thoroughly explaining the lease to carrier dynamic they have made an exception. They dont want the equipment to be rented or used by others that have no vested interest; which is understandable, but not applicable in my case. I would use them again and have edited my rating to 4 stars.

We understand the frustration with insurance. Our internal policy requires that the name on the finance agreement matches the name of the insured on a certificate of insurance (some insurance underwriters will not honor a claim if the names don't match). There are times when an exception may be warranted, so we will take a deeper look at your situation and be in touch soon!

I DO NOT suggest to anyone, they do not accept my insurance. they offered me their insurance at the price of $87, after which THEY tried to charge me $98 without informing me,it is the most embarrassing experience.

We allow customers to use their own insurance if it meets our requirements. If evidence of sufficient coverage is not provided, we enact a policy which meets those requirements and pass along the premium. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you, but you are still able to provide your own sufficient insurance (with the correctly named insured), and we will be happy to remove the coverage that we have added.
