I felt compelled to write a lovely review for this Opticians and in particular the staff at Annette Dobbs Opticians as they are wonderful and exceeded all my expectations. I do not believe enough positive reviews are left nowadays even when service has been exemplary so I wanted to give a special shout out to the business and to these three members of staff in particular that made the 2 appointments we attended all the more pleasant.
I made an appointment to accompany my 84 year old mother this month (Dec 2024) and 'm so glad I did as I was extremely happy with the service both she and I received.
On arrival we were greeted by the wonderful optical assistant Fliss on the reception desk who intially greeted us and then got us to complete and sign some forms as it had been over a year since my mothers last visit there.
Fliss was a pleasure to deal with and was friendly, knowledgeable and like a breath of fresh air. My mother was swiftly seen by Grace, the Senior Optometrist who was very thorough and professional, whilst at the same time being very patient with my mother. She recommended a prompt follow up appointment which we made before we left and was for the following week.
Before leaving the first appointment and once my mother was in receipt of her new and significantly changed prescription we chose suitable glasses that she liked and ordered with the assistance of the very helpful Maddie, another friendly and knowledgable optical assistant. It was all a very pleasant experience from beginning to end and I cant speak highly enough of all the staff at the practise, incidentally my mother has been visiting this particular opticians and seeing the owner Annette Dobbs for over 30 years, (although it is the first time I accompanied her now she is in her senior years)
I wanted to give a shout out to these special individuals as they are truly priceless and if I employed them I surely would not want to loose them.
I would not hesitate in recommending this business to family, friends, colleagues or anyone looking for excellent service and experience.

I received a first class service from the team at Annette Dobbs who I used to supply my work provided prescription glasses. A special thanks goes to Sara for her perseverance dealing with a 3rd party that my work insisted upon using. The while staff were polite, friendly and professional throughout.

Annette Dobbs opticians provide a first class service to all their clients. I can attest that Annette is a brilliant clinician and very professional in everything she does. I can never thank her enough for the the excellent treatment I received when I was unwell.

i have this optician for many years . most opticians could not get my perception right some gave up as my perception as itt was was so compacted .i phoned a week ago in an emergency to say that i have gone blind in one eye her new optician a young lady .in asked me to come at once an see her ,she informer me not to bring my car .after she did an eye test she informed me that my Retina had come unattached . she informed me that I needed surgery right away.not later now .she phoned the hospital and arranged an appointments for me next dad . i had surgery on my eye that day . which was a success thank to her my eye site was saved . this must be the best optician in Wales . i can't thank them enough for having all the latest technological and equipment ...THOMAS MORRISON.
