Ankeny Deck Specialists extended our roof over the deck and rebuilt the railing and stairs incorporating a pergola. The back of our house faces south and the deck was always sun soaked. This upgrade transformed our always hot deck into an all day oasis! We have some landscaping to do but are very satisfied with all of the work and the roof even matches the original architecture perfectly. 5 stars earned!

Just got a 4-season room and new deck. Have no complaints whatsoever. All subcontractors did an awesomr job and when finished was better than I ever imagined. Can't stop smiling. They were good working with, and went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect. Will use them again for other projects I have and highly recommend.

We couldn’t be happier with our experience with Ankeny Deck Specialist. Their rep, Jacob Mohn, was easy to work with, and we felt their construction crew was very professional. They do quality work at what we thought was a fair price. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to friends and relatives. Update: There was some damage done to the Hardie plank siding above the deck floor during install, and two days after I talked with the owner, Vishal Patel, to point that out, two of the men from the crew that did such a good job installing the new deck joices, floor and railing returned and installed new Hardie board all along both sides of the deck adjoining our house. We are very happy customers!

It looks like he does nice work, but I wouldn't know. I was told to send pictures and tell them what I wanted. I sent my pictures and told him what I wanted which was a small deck built, but they never got back to me. After 2 years, I'm finally having a new beautiful concrete patio poured by Karns Concrete. It's awesome and he seriously knows his business. Thank you Ankeny Deck Specialist for NOT GETTING BACK TO ME. I'm going to have a bigger outdoor space and I won't have to stain it every year. That's the point. You don't have any record of work because nobody contacted me back after I sent pictures. For your reference, It was Form Entry #693. I'm not saying you do bad work. I contacted you because it looks like you do great work. I just figured you didn't want the job for some reason. Thanks.

I have a beautiful 12 x 12 deck with a cantilevered umbrella on the edge built with premium materials exactly the way I requested the deck to be built, including the use of helical piers for footings. I have a brother who is a meticulous structural engineer, and he cannot find a single thing that was not perfectly done. The amount I paid was fair and much less than other contractors wanted. I intend to eventually replace my front porch with the same workers and materials. At a minimum, let these people give you a quote for your project.
