Sometimes on longer term furnished apartments stays the tenants are rough on the furniture and there were many tough stains. One of the first rules of upholstery cleaning is to do no harm and if we go over an area too many times we can run into the risk of it browning out. When a couch is being steam cleaned it looses 80% of its strength until it gains it back after it is completely dry and we don’t want to damage the weakened upholstery fibers. We are always willing to come back and redo the job to make it right but we didn’t know that there was an issue. We simply have a policy for same day payment because we don’t do billing. I’m glad whatever spots that came wicked back up were removed as those are usually the easiest to come back out after it has already been cleaned.

Our first rule of cleaning is to do no harm and being that wool rugs and upholstery are more sensitive than synthetic fibers we can only use so strong of a cleaning agent without taking the risk of damaging the color of the material itself. Thanks for the review Jeremy and I’m glad you brought up the circuit in the hallway tripping. We were using 2 cords from that machine and neither cord drew more than 15 amps. What happens is that every single time a circuit is tripped its ability to receive the voltage draw is reduced by .3 percent, that is less than 1/3 of one percent. What happens is if over the course of decades in some building the circuit could have been tripped dozens of times reducing its ability to hold the same amount of current as before. We have cleaned thousands of hallways and sometimes a circuit will trip but our machine is designed to run on less than 15 amps per cord so that under normal circumstances it won’t trip. If that panel box had a new circuit installed the circuit would not have tripped. The breaker is designed to trip if there is too much of a draw on the circuit for safety’s sake but it doesn’t take into consideration that its load bearing capacity has been reduced. Under normal conditions it would not trip unless something with a larger draw is running on it.
