Strongly recommend the inner city tour we took and our captain - Eddie. What we particularly liked was the small open boat, able to take the smaller canals and bridges, and the very personal attention and tour information from Eddie. Exactly what we wanted rather than some impersonal big tour boat experience. Eddie - thanks again for a great tour!
We had a wonderful time on our canal cruise with Amsterdam Boat Adventures! Captain Griffin piloted us expertly around the canals while sharing information and history about Amsterdam. It was a smaller boat, with fewer people, which made the cruise seem more personal and friendly! Captain Griffin also gave us helpful recommendations about food to eat and places to visit! After many hours of research on canal tours both large and small we chose Amsterdam Adventures and we were NOT disappointed! It was SO great, exactly like the reviews described. Captain Jamie was personable and extremely informed, providing the right amount of history and context to all of the things we were seeing. I'm so happy I chose a small boat tour of only 8 or 10 people. The other boat companies looked overwhelming with the amount of people that could be on board. If you like smaller group activities, this is for you. Also, Captain Jamie took us into smaller canals that other larger boats apparently don't go or can't fit. This was an excellent evening and the 90 min was the perfect amount of time. We learned so much. I would have felt like we missed out if it was shorter like 75min that other tours offer. We chose an evening tour (around 8pm in May), which was still light outside and was the perfect way to experience the city and learn about the history. I would highly recommend Amsterdam Boat Adventure's if this is your first time visiting and want to avoid larger boats & crowds. This is a calming relaxing evening tour with a professional and very friendly guide, who took the time to explain everything from the history of Amsterdam, the architecture and the building of the canals in great detail without being overwhelming. Jamie was warm and personable and the best guide we could've hoped for! Don't bother researching further, just book a great late day or evening tour with them! ~Kevin

Great tour - Guus was personable, knowledgeable and, as far as I can tell, managed the boat very professionally.
Yesterday, my colleague and I joined an evening canal cruise with Captain Attila from Amsterdam Boat Adventures, and it was truly one of the most beautiful experiences we have had in a long time.
Captain Attila is incredibly warm, welcoming, and genuine. He showed us hidden corners of Amsterdam that we would never have discovered on our own and created wonderful memories that we will cherish for a long time.
The atmosphere on the boat was relaxed, friendly, and special from beginning to end. You could feel how much passion and care Captain Attila puts into every tour.

Fabulous time with Captain Attila! He welcomed me and my cat Cosmo and took us on an amazing tour though the canals. It was peaceful and interesting. Very informative with fun stories and facts. He had a great calm demeanor and his voice was very soothing and enjoyable. Highly recommend!

Adam did a fantastic job navigating us through history, art and culture in a fun and informative tour while also piloting us through the canals of Amsterdam on this beautiful evening cruise. Absolutely love Amsterdam Boat Adventures. Best Amsterdam canal cruise no doubt. Been on many trips with them over the years. Griffin (boat captain) did a top-notch job. We've been out with Attila and Griffin and could not receommend either of them more. Do yourself a favor, if you have a group of 12 or less, and book your cruise with Amsterdam Boat Adventures. Excellent value for the price too!
