We had a great experience with AM Shield. They just put in a pressure relief system for the water we were getting in our basement in Seaford. While it stinks to have to do it in the first place, Jon and Jose were great to work with and we couldn’t have asked for a better crew. They took great care to make sure not a speck of dust made its way to the rest of the house and kept all of the pieces of molding, flooring and other materials to make it easy for us to refinish it. We would totally recommend to anyone in need of a similar project.

We worked with Anthony on some flooding in our basement. I have never worked with someone so knowledgeable on our best course of action. Instead of having us spend many thousands of dollars on a drain system he showed us the more cost effective solution to the problem. Couldn’t recommend Anthony more.

After a nightmare experience waterproofing with another contractor (Tauland Kitchen & Bath), who left us with water in the basement despite an expensive excavation and a guarantee they would not honor, I was extremely cautious about hiring anyone again. That is when I found AM Shield through the Better Business Bureau, and I am so grateful that I did. From the very beginning, Oliver, the project manager, stood out. He took the time to carefully survey the property, explain exactly what was happening, and outline a clear plan. In contrast to our previous experience, AM Shield provided a lifetime warranty and full transparency. Every detail was explained upfront with no surprises. The crew was outstanding: punctual, respectful of our home, clean, and most importantly, highly communicative throughout the entire process. After dealing with a company that would not even show up some days, this level of professionalism meant the world to us. It has been months since the work was completed in April, and after a heavy, rain-filled summer, we have not had a single drop of water in our basement. The peace of mind this has given us is priceless. No more rushing home in a storm to pump out water. Consider this company for your waterproofing needs! I had water stains on my basement where the foundation wall met the floor. The stain was minor, but growing. I wanted to waterproof 2 sections of my EXTERIOR basement wall and AM SHIELD was the ONLY company that didn't insist I install a French drain system. I was very uncomfortable breaking my basement floor to install a drainage system and sump pump, all that would require yearly maintenance and eventual mechanical replacement. My theory was to keep the water OUT, not invite it in to pump it out again! AM SHIELD respected my request for a exterior job and priced it appropriately. I highly recommend the honesty, integrity, knowledge and customer service I received from AM SHIELD

I called AM shield after having a very botched job by another waterproofing company. (Vulcan) Right from the start. I knew they were head and shoulders above the other. When Oliver visited my home he was thorough and very professional. He explained everything that needed to be done and how the workmen would accomplish it. He kept in contact with me throughout the entire project. When the workmen came across an issue, as a result of the previous company, he called me right away and explained my options. The workmen arrived on time, and cleaned up when they were done. Best of all, there’s no more water in my basement!. Worth every penny.

I had an issue with a considerable amount of water getting into my basement, especially after the big rains in September of 2023, so I contacted several waterproofing companies. Without question, Joe from A.M. Shield was the kindest, most honest, understanding, and professional of everyone I spoke to. He clearly explained what my options were and was willing to work with me and adjust the job proposal until we found the perfect solution for both my problem and my budget. A.M. Shield came a few weeks later, excavated in front of my house, filling in the cracks they found in my foundation, sealing it with a Tegra-Tite membrane, and neatly restoring the flower beds to their original state (including replanting our shrubs). Fast forward nearly 5 months and several heavy storms and we haven't had a drop of water in our basement! As an additional testament to the integrity of the company, I discovered three months later that one of the valves for my sprinkler system was damaged by the excavation. A.M. Shield immediately mailed me a check and covered the cost of the repair. I absolutely will be using A.M. Shield again in the future and couldn't recommend them highly enough! It's been life changing not having to worry about water getting in and under my floor again!

We've had water issues in our basement for months, and tried half a dozen different companies and contractors. We had some work done, but nothing completely solved the issue. A few folks straight up tried to scam us. We were very sick of the whole process. That's where A.M. Shield came in. I called and the owner, Hugo, came by within a couple days. He assessed the problem and offered a solution, complete with a 20-year warranty. He even connected us with a bank to discuss financing, though we did end up going another route. After our contract was signed, work began promptly. A team showed up, introduced themselves, and got right to work. We were blown away with how efficiently they operated. We had to leave town the following day, but they completed the work while we were gone. When we got back home, it looked like no one had ever been there. They cleaned up our property incredibly, including relaying the bricks of our walkway that they had to excavate to get to a section of our foundation. Start to finish, this was one of the most pleasant interactions I've ever had with a contractor. Professional, efficient, and courteous, I'd recommend A.M. Shield to anyone. There's a reason they've got almost 200 5 star reviews. Don't waste your time or money with anyone else.
