That’s simply not accurate. Your team conducted a full walkthrough of the property and was provided with extensive photos—more than enough information to produce at least a preliminary or itemized estimate. Claiming a lack of detail after months of engagement is misleading.
If additional specifics were truly required, that should have been clearly communicated upfront—not after three months of delays and over 20 follow-ups on my end. Being repeatedly told a quote would be ready “in 10 minutes” and then waiting months is not a documentation issue, it’s a reliability issue.
As for “disrespect,” expecting basic professionalism, timely communication, and follow-through after investing significant time is not disrespect—it’s standard business practice. Wasting a client’s time for three months with no deliverable is what’s unacceptable. At the end of the day, I went with another vendor who earned my business

Unfortunately, we have never received a detailed list of all the work that needed to be done. Without that, it’s impossible to provide a quote for an entire house with so many items requiring repair. We regret that we cannot work with an architectural firm or customer that does not provide detailed information or layouts regarding the work they wish to undertake. We also do not tolerate disrespect toward our employees.
Amighini is an absolute gem! I don’t know what I would have done with out them this year! I’ve been restoring the facade of my 1880s Brooklyn row house and their gorgeous selection of doors as well as their kind, creative and generous help was transformational! I can’t recommend them enough. Noella and Mariano as well as all of their team are creatively inspired, wildly committed to their work and will help you find the most amazing, unique, timeless and historical elements for your home. Go visit their showroom and work shop! They have tile, wrought iron, stain glass, corbels, mirrors, banisters, a stunning selection of door hardware and all kinds of things to buy, incorporate and enjoy.
My story is this: My family and I have lived in an aluminium sided Greenpoint row house for about fifteen years. I’ve wanted to restore the facade to its original, rather decorative , wooden row house form ever since we bought the house. What a long wait! The year finally arrived. With a 1938 tax photo in hand, illuminating what the house once was, I worked closely with some amazing carpenters to re-create it with mostly modern materials. The essential elements of the restoration have been the removal of layers of aluminium, asphalt siding and crappy windows followed by the installation of all new siding elements, the restoration of a decorative cornice, new windows, new window trim, new awning and - most deliciously, installing a new set of front doors. All ‘new’ elements needed to look and feel like our what the house originally looked like before mid-20th century facade alterations denuded it of all decorative beauty. The door, however, had to be historic. I didn’t want something new, but rather something made by hand, with the feeling of time, stained glass, curved shapes, a historically appropriate scale - all that doors used to be. Amhigini had exactly what my house has needed! I saw a set of doors on their website which had the most perfect dimensions, look, stain glass and unusual shape. Mariano and Noella helped me with all the details that included stripping all the old paint off the door, cleaning and restoring the stain glass and installing safety glass over one side. They also installed lovely handles and a lock. The doors are incredibly beautiful. I was so inspired with their work that I even decided to buy a second set of doors that were salvaged from the same Argentinean house to recreate the vestibule. I don’t have photos to post yet, but as soon as the painting and installation is done I will add them to this review. By all means, if you have even the most remote bit of curiosity about how real historic salvaged architectural elements might look in or on your house, go to at the showroom! Noella and Mariano are the best!
I determined that salvaged encaustic tiles were the ideal material for the hearth I was building in our 1920's catskill cottage. I hit the 8x8 tiles I bought with 60 grit paper with a random orbital sander, and used a quality stone sealer on top. I am so happy I came here - it's worth the trip just to take a look at all the beautiful inventory.
UPDATE!!! After about a year Amighini is still providing the best after sale service. I’ve had minor issues with the doors but their best guy Mariano always shows up within the week to investigate.
Noelia and her team over at Amighini architectural did an AMAZING job with my buildings new doors. I was very happy from the customer service to the attention to detail in their work. They kept me in the loop every step of the way and even coordinated with our intercom vendors who were also working on the doors at the same time. I have to give a shout out to Mariano who was in charge of installation. I said it before but his attention to detail was truly outstanding. You can tell he really cares about the product that is delivered.Don’t get me wrong, the project came with a heavy price tag, but I personally think that the work speaks for itself.
Amighini were great to work with and have stunning products! We are so pleased with our new front door. The level of detail and care that they put into restoration and installation is excellent. Noelia in the office is very communicative and helpful and Mariano did beautiful work. Would highly recommend if you are looking to update your brownstone/row house door.

CUSTOMER BEWARE: DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY! THEY DELETE BAD REVIEWS AND KEEP THE GOOD ONES TO FAKE A FACADE OF A GOOD COMPANY! Their customer service is a JOKE and they don’t care about their customers equally. They will ignore your calls and even block you, which is ridiculous for a company to do that. If your project is small, they will NEVER follow up with you and they’ll give you the same excuse - that they’re “busy with a big landmark project.”
The owner Chris is ALWAYS ABSENT and you’ll never get in touch with him if he’s the one who helped you initially. They NEVER answer the phone. EVER. The funny thing is, they might call me after posting this review, which is an interesting thought.
They most likely will delete this review like they always do to reviewers just stating the TRUTH, but I will just keep reposting this review to expose the truth about them to customers thinking of hiring them.
Please note: They will most likely respond to this review and try to discredit me by saying that they’ve never done business with me, which is a STRAIGHT LIE. Otherwise, how else would I know the owner’s name. So don’t be surprised if you see that response from them to my review. Just TIRED of FAKE companies out there LYING to customers to make $$$. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS PATHETIC COMPANY, YOU’VE BEEN WARNED. “Busy” is NOT AN EXCUSE. EVERYONE’S BUSY. It’s about PRIORITIES. If you're a business owner, big or small, you have a firm obligation to your customers. Period. AMIGHINI ARCHITECTURAL IS WORSE THAN ZERO! NEGATIVE 10 STARS -10!

Since this is a business that we do handcrafted things with a lot of time consuming details, it is not a factory, we have times when all the carpenters are busy on a particular big project that was already scheduled. New projects are organized, with a meeting and time frame. I want to help you with your project but I was checking the records and you are not a client, nor do you have a prospect file. I am here to help you with your project. We are a company that has been doing this for more than 25 years, and we have more than 10.000 doors installed, we are really dedicated to give you an excellent service, with a great knowledge of the market, and we will be glad to help you.
Excellent variety of antique doors and customer service! The whole experiencie is 100% recommendable. I found the door of my dreams for my current project and can´t wait to have a new project to work with Amighini again!

Very rare and unusual doorways that can't be found anywhere else. Their service is excellent, they do a beautiful refinishing job if necessary, and often have rare and unusual parts that are hard to find

I went with my husband to choose an entry door for our new place and they were very helpful. I didn't know what to expect at first, but they walk you through the whole process. They helped with the paint and installation.
