We have just stayed at the Ambassador hotel and would like to say how friendly and warm all of the staff were. Nothing was too much trouble for them making our stay extremely enjoyable. We would also like to mention Marlene who was so kind and caring she went above and beyond so thank you . Matt / Barbara

It was lovely staying at this hotel. I was here for a conference at the University of Glasgow, and it was located at a convenient location (walking distance). It was also close from the subway to get to the downtown area. All the staff were very friendly and helpful, and I really liked the more personal and homey feeling of this place compared to larger hotels. I had to leave at 4am for an early flight, and the front desk staff reserved a taxi for me. I would definitely come back to this place!

I have returned a number of times and always found friendly service, good facilities, excellent cooked breakfast and great location. Wonderful to have the Botanic Gardens to stroll in the perfectly positioned for the West End and the University.

Lovely greeting from reception and a helpful umbrella so we didn't get wet going to the wedding. Next to botanical gardens and the vibrant west end. Loads of restaurants, and clubs.

The location is one of its best features—situated in a quiet, leafy part of the West End, it’s perfect for those who want to be close to the action but still enjoy peace and quiet at night. There are lovely parks and great local cafes nearby, and it’s just a short walk to public transport. The hotel offers very good value for money, especially considering the location. The room was comfortable and had everything we needed, though the cleaning service was a bit limited—out room wasn’t serviced daily, which might be worth noting if you’re staying longer. Breakfast was basic but fine for a quick start to the day. What really stood out to us was the super friendly and helpful staff—they were always there if needed and we were even moved to an apartment which was very cool with a small kid. All in all, if you’re looking for a reasonably priced stay in a great area of Glasgow with welcoming service, the Ambassador Hotel is a solid choice.

Absolutely wonderful!!! There is no negative comment. Rooms are clean, bed is comfy, food is tasty, service workers are kind, located away from the city and across from the Botanical Gardens.

Dank; foul-smelling, dark and ugly, like a 1970s motel populated by fungi and mildew, with a modern shower head and tiny flat screen tv pasted here and there.

I really enjoyed my stay at the Ambassador Hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful and my room was very comfortable. The hotel is in a great location with fabulous amenities close by. My room was overlooking the Botanical Gardens. I would certainly stay there again!
