We have used Morrow Mechanical for many years for standard maintenance of our A/C and heater systems. This time, we needed their service to clean out the lint vent from our dryer to our roof. They sent Devin Page and Michael Brown, who went out of their way to serve our needs. We apologized that the light in the laundry room had burnt out, and we were infirm and unable to climb to change mit. Also, we were unable to move the heavy d ryer, which is on an elevated platform and must be lifted to move. They assured us that they would take care of everything. Finally, we expressed a concern that had bothered us for years, that it appeared to us that, instead of having the vent go straight through the outside wall behind the dryer, the builders had made it travel diagonally through the wall, with multiple 90-degree angle turns to the roof. Our concern is that this would trap the lint in the wall, posing a fire hazard. They said that they would investigate and let us know how the vent was structured. They proceeded to put in the light bulb, move the dryer, replace the dryer connection to the outside vent, and thoroughly clean the vent. They talked with us midway through this service to warn us of a faulty connection where the vent passed from the attic through the roof, with pictures that showed that it was trapping the lint. We authorized them to replace it. They then explained to us that they were able to see that the vent went straight up the wall from behind the dryer to the roof, without the 90-degree turns we had feared. I asked whether this design was ineffective, having the lint fight gravity going straight up, and their answer was immediately relieving. Our dryer is a newer model and has a powerful blower that would have no problem expelling all the lint. This set our minds at ease after so many years, and they quickly performed every remaining work to perfection. This is customer service that goes well beyond expectations and is deeply appreciated. We use Caleb Bones for all of our AC and heating maintenance through Morrow Mechanical, and Caleb understands the special health and security needs that we have to. He knows the drill and he does it excellently. We couldn't ask for better. Thomas Sanders came to service our A/C, and he was very careful to meet our precautions, for both my daughter and I are dangerously immuno-compromised. He checked to see if the condensation drip pan was draining properly into the bathroom sink drain, and found that it was clogged. In the past, technicians from other companies have used compressed air to dislodge the slime that blocks these pipes, and this projects the mess all over the bathroom walls and ceilings. Thomas assured me that he personally blows into the pipes, only using the minimum pressure break up the clogged pipe with no mess. He then said, "Mr. Lewis, of we had made a mess like that, we wouldn't left before the bathroom was completely shining." After all the years of experience with Morrow Mechanical, I know that they would.
