I reached out and spoke to Amy over the phone, discussing in brief my needs and current financial situation. Amy suggested a meeting with her but I let it slide for many months. After much deliberation, I spoke to Amy for the second time and discussed setting up a meeting with my wife and myself. Amy somehow managed to capture what I discussed, in detail from our initial conversation and was able to converse on a professional level. I was impressed by the skill Amy displayed and a trust and rapport was initiated from the onset.
My wife and I had our first meeting in Sydney at Carrington Street with Amy. Upon reaching the correct level, my wife and I discussed how well appointed the surroundings were and the courtesy extended by Elizabeth, the front of house person. At every level the both of us were treated in a genuine and caring manner. From the onset we felt at ease with Amy and our discussion proceeded that way.
True to her word, Amy compiled a Statement of Advice, outlining in detail different scenarios. It has only been since February 2025 that Alteris Financial Group has been looking after us but it seems like a lot longer. Amy has always presented in a Professional and timely manner. Altreis is fortunate to have Amy as a valued member of their team and we consider Amy as our trustworthy financial adviser. Alteris has been wonderful to work with in suggesting and planning my parents' finances as they moved into permanent aged care. This can be a difficult phase in life for people entering permanent aged care and their families. Alteris, through Sean Bailey, have provided professional and compassionate financial advice which was easy to understand and has made the path easier to negotiate. We were fortunate enough to engage Ronald and his team in assisting us in transitioning our aged Uncle from home care to An Aged care facility, they were able to reduced a lot of the stress and worry associated with this process by handling all the necessary paperwork involved with Centrelink in an experienced and professional manner.
We were very lucky to have been directed to Chris Nothling as a specialist who could assist us negotiate the many complexities and pitfalls associated with difficult and emotional task of entering our mother into the Aged Care system.
Chris was very personable, thorough, clear in explanation, and modelled some options that enabled us to adopt the most suitable direction. He was also very agreeable to collaborating with Mum’s own Financial Advisor in the process.
We were particularly relieved to learn that the Alteris team could then implement the majority of our plan by navigating the requirements of the many Government agencies involved in the process. This was certainly a weight off our shoulders.
We will certainly recommend Chris to anyone looking to enter a loved one into Aged Care.
Some 4 years after writing the above review I can honestly say that Alteris have carried on the great work!
Following implementation of the developed plan, we further engaged Alteris' Lifetime Serive Offer to act as our Nominee to liaise with the various Government Agencies and the Aged Care Facility to ensure that the relevant charges were applied correctly.
This followed the submission to Alteris, on a quarterly basis, financial updates of our Mother's assets.
The various Alteris agents we liased with over the 4 years always acted with diligence and professionalism.
I cannot emphasise enough how this liaison helped us with the navigation of such a complex area!

We engaged Alteris to help us navigate our elderly mothers financial situation and residential care finances. We were not disappointed with Kerri and her team who made the whole process easy and stress free. OK where do I start. First off my mother at the age of 96 years young had to go into an aged care facility.
My sister & myself are joint EPOA so that was the start of the complicated process. We finally got mum into respite for a 2 month period all with the help of Sean Bailey from Alteris.
That was only the beginning of our process. Finally permanent care.Every time some new issue arose it was me emailing Sean for help & advice. Sean always answered & he genuinely helped us through so many bumps along the way & still is.
Sean will work with you always & is an asset to this company.
With us it was not just an aged care facility that was required but financial help with our mother's finances spread over banks & shares.I can honestly say that without Sean's professional guidance & support we would be back in December 2024 still trying to do this on our own. I recently worked with Sean Bailey from Alteris on setting my elderly mother up in a nursing home and my expectations were exceeded. From start to finish, the customer service was phenomenal. We worked together virtually through the whole process and I was amazed at how seamless it was, with him taking the time to explain every detail. Sean was worth every penny and we would not have been able to go through this process with the success we did without him.
As a family we had to make the difficult decision about our mother entering Permanent Residential Aged Care in August 2023.
The emotional side of this decision for anybody is daunting and distressing, let alone having to think of the financial side of things and ensuring we did the right thing by our elderly relative.

The financial side of this move to the uneducated is daunting and takes time to understand; Kerri explained things to us in laymans' terms and made the whole process seamless, while educating us at the same time.
We were so happy with the service we received we not only referred Alteris to others we know, but engaged the group to manage things for us for another year after things had been finalized.
I cannot stress how important the right financial advice is when you are navigating Aged Care.
