I can honestly say this is the best dentist I've ever been to! The entire team was amazing; kind, professional, and made me feel completely comfortable from start to finish. The dentist took the time to explain every step very clearly. The staff also went above and beyond to go through my insurance in detail and helped me save a lot of money, which I really appreciated. You can tell they genuinely care about their patients. I'm so happy I found this place. I'll definitely be coming back and recommending them to everyone!

Zina is the best hygienist EVER! She makes sure you’re aware of everything being done and is very honest. Every step she make sure you’re comfortable and in the loop. You won’t find anyone better than her, good luck!
Best dental office in San Diego! From start to finish, they provide an efficient and pleasant experience. The 2 front-end workers, Dani and June are extremely kind and professional and Dr. Tyler and his team make anything from a routine cleaning to a crown (had to get a few fillings + a crown this year) a stress free time for the patient. I would recommend to anyone looking for a dentist!
Everything went well. Dr. Kuwamoto was exceptionally great with his kindness and professionalism. Finally the hygienist was one of the best ive ever had. And June was very helpful, extremely nice and professional. I highly recommend this dentistry.
I was in search for a new dentist that was also in my network. I was skeptical of most places because the review was pretty low.
However, this one caught my eyes because the reviews on yelp were great!
The process to make an appointment and check if you are in net work was very smooth. The receptionist was very nice and welcoming.
Once I got there, I did not have to wait long to be seen. What I love was that everyone was very transparent and provided all the details about your teeth. Dr. Kuwamoto explained the X-rays and was very informative when he recommended what should be done. He tells you why he recommend those things and let you know the process as well as how much it would cost.
The 2nd time I came back for a fill, I think there was a new assistant because his work compared to the first time I had a fill was completely different. I had water sprayed everywhere which was fine because you are at the dentist. Then when they put a paste or something in my mouth it was so biter and he didn't rinse it well until he was told to do so by one of the seasonal dental assistant.
Other than that, I think this place does a phenomenal job and highly recommend!
I have never had a better experience with any practitioner ever before! They restored my teeth even better than before after an accident unfortunately knocked them out. No chunky veneer look - just natural beautiful teeth!! Thank you Alpha Dental, I will never go anywhere else!

He took the time to walk me through everything in detail, answering all my questions and making sure I understood my treatment plan. Dr. Kuwamoto is one of the best dentists I've been to in a long time. My entire experience was excellent. Not only were his office staff kind and efficient, but Dr. Kuwamoto was also incredibly detailed. He spent time with me and I felt that he really cared about my health. I am new to SD and had to find a dentist who would be able to fix the discomfort I've been having. I love my teeth and I don't trust just anyone to work on them, with SD being my new home, I had no choice but to trust someone new with my teeth. I am so grateful I found Alpha Dental! Almost immediately after walking into Alpha dental I felt welcomed by the receptionist and heard by Dr Kuwamoto. He listened to my issue, assessed my concern, and got me in for a procedure. I'm happy, my teeth are happy and I am happy to call Alpha Dental my dentist. Thank you for making me feel so welcomed!
Do not come here if you value the health of your teeth! The cleanings are not consistent and a recent filling fell out within a few months. You will be ignored and left to your self for 15 plus minutes at a time while on the operation chair. On top of that the customer service is awful. The new receptionist was incredibly rude and dismissive. If you want quality dental care and to be treated with dignity, do not come here!

I was a new patient to this office in 2025. I had nothing but problems. My follow-up appointments were rescheduled without my notice or consent. I received a bill with no reasoning or enumeration of service. When I finally came to a follow-up appointment, there was confusion on what service I had already received and what I was in for. I had to convince the staff of what was already done in my mouth. Overall, a nightmarish experience on the customer service, communications, and professionalism fronts. Definitely would not recommend.
First off, WOW!! What a fantastic experience. I am 9 months post partum and have put all oral health to the side for quite some time, so one can imagine what kind of shape my mouth was in! I made an appointment to have my teeth cleaned with their oral hygienist. Be specific and request ZINA—trust me! This woman KNOWS her stuff! Upon arriving to the office, I was greeted at the front desk! I went in on a Saturday! This was great as I am a mom and it’s incredibly hard to make it in during the week. The office is clean and well kept! Everything is new and fresh! Even the technology used is the latest and greatest!
Zina was wonderful! I truly feel that she treated me as if I were family. Each and everything she did in my mouth, she provided me an explanation for. Anything I asked، no matter how silly the question was—she answered politely and professionally! Let’s be honest, getting your teeth cleaned is not enjoyable. I didn’t feel any discomfort during this cleaning. She was so light with her hands, probably the best I’ve ever had! During our conversation, she made sure to go over everything I should be bringing up to the doctor. She went above and beyond and I look forward to seeing her again! I even got sent home with a goodie bag and was able to snag a unicorn toothbrush for my daughter! Such a kind gesture!
The dentist came in to see me following my cleaning. I had to have a few fillings and he thoroughly explained to me what would be done and why. Again, any question I had was answered. He never hurried me along or became frustrated if I asked the same question multiple Times. Upon returning for my work, I had many questions that I had forgot to ask. Of course, I only had a certain allocated time for this appointment. The doctor spent as much time with me as I needed until I felt comfortable moving forward. All went well and smoothly! I couldn’t be happier and am sure this is my dental office for life. I even bumped into Zina upon checkout and she checked in on me and wanted to make sure I was happy and all my needs were met!

I do not do well when I get into that dental chair but for some reason I felt relaxed and truly cared for the second I walked into the office!
