Almond House is set in a beautiful area with views that are breathtaking. The sunsets and sunrises are stunning. The accommodation is pretty, practical comfortable and welcoming. I particularly like the stairs going upto Wisterea. Becky and Kay have worked so hard to bring their dream into fruition. They have an eye for detail and do everything to make your stay the best. The Studio is another credit to their hard work, evening restorative yoga with the warm Andalusian breeze and the last rays of sun coming through the doors will stay in my memory for ever. Well done to both of you tapping into a unique market and making every guest feel special. All the very best for a long and successful business Melanie

Wonderful holiday home for a large group. Our extended family of 11 spent 2 weeks enjoying first class amenities including a lovely pool and Wisteria shaded patio and eating area, a fully equipped kitchen and all en suite bedrooms furnished to a high standard. Our hosts were available to provide many suggestions that helped us explore the countryside and many small villages that add to the experience of visiting this part of Andalusia. Mediterranean beaches, White Villages, Granada, Lanjaron etc..Local town Orgiva minutes away with excellent shops and tapas bars. Owners web page a bonus. Deserves a 6 * rating.

Had a WONDERFUL stay at Almond Hill house in March. House is set in stunning surroundings with amazing views. Weather was a bit cool and rainy at times but this didn’t bother us in the slightest. Cosy log burner in the living room and beautifully designed cosy bedrooms. Perfect for a big family group, mine loved it! My daughter still talks about the orchard. Can’t wait to go back!

I had the absolute pleasure of spending 6 days at this beautiful house for a yoga teacher training, and I can honestly say it was one of the most special experiences of my life.🥹 Kay and Becky are the most incredible hosts – warm, welcoming, and full of heart. They truly made us feel like we were at home. Their attention to detail and the love they pour into the space is felt in every corner of the house and the outside space. The pool,the garden and the views are simply breathtaking – the perfect place to relax and reflect in between sessions. And I can't forget the food! Amanda, the cook, created the most nourishing and delicious meals each day. Every bite was a treat, and her food also played such a big role in making the experience complete. This place is more than just a house – it’s a sanctuary. I’m deeply grateful for the time I spent there and can’t recommend it enough. Whether you're looking for a peaceful holiday, planning to attend a retreat, or embarking on a yoga teacher training, this is the perfect spot!❤️ Thank you Kay&Becky!🙏

Almond Hill House is the rural Spanish idyll we have all read and dreamed about. The edge-of-village location of this cortijo is totally unspoilt by any modern-day over-development, with the views from the property showing guests all the wide and wild majesty of the surrounding mountains. The accommodation, however, is far from wild or rustic. Our lovely rooms, each named after the individual orchard trees, have been lovingly and aesthetically restored and furnished by owners Kay and Becky to the highest standards of comfort, alongside environmentally responsible respect for the land on which it stands. We were able to be self-sufficient with all the up-to-date equipment in and facilities in our house, yet confident of the on-site yet out-of-sight support and assistance of our hosts, if needed. Almond Hill House is most definitely the place to recharge your ‘quality of life’ batteries. October 2024

We have just returned from a too short week at Almond Hill House – WOW! We zigzagged along such good roads, hugging the mountain side, with amazing views. Down through the little village of Órgiva, and up to Almond Hill House, hidden away looking down over the village, all surrounded by mountains and wide skies. Receiving such a warm and friendly welcome from Kay and Becky, we felt right at home. Every detail and comfort of the guest house and our rooms had been considered. With delightful flare; embracing a style fitting a mountainside, 200 year old farmhouse. Our hosts wanted everything to be perfect for us and welcomed any feedback we could give them – ‘Perfect!’ What a haven of peacefulness. Arriving to the melodic clanking of bells as the goat herder and his dogs, coaxed the goats on their way through the olive grove, beyond the garden and pool, in the evening light. There was a posy of garden picked flowers in our rooms, and Kay’s homemade apricot jam, and their own olive oil, pressed nearby, to enjoy during our stay, in the kitchen. We relaxed! Food shopped, ate out and enjoyed music in Órgiva. We swam in ‘our’ sun-warmed pool – refreshingly gorgeous, after walking in the orchard, grass hoppers leaping before us. We picked and ate ripe figs from the tree; the large, shining, avocados were not going to ripen in a week, so we left them hanging for the next guests to enjoy. The olives were to be harvested the next week, then the oranges would follow, picture perfect on the trees. The house is perfectly situated for a tranquil escape and yet within easy access to all there is to explore in the area. This is definitely a place to return to, for relaxation, so much more to explore, and seasons to experience... Thank you Kay and Becky, October 2024

We stayed in this wonderful location for six days and it was truly delightful. Kay and Becky could not have been more welcoming and directed us to our home for the week called Wisteria. This was a spacious room with views across the surrounding mountains and olive groves from two directions. There was a large and very comfortable bed, plenty of hanging and drawer space and a bathroom with a walk in shower with plenty of hot water. We had our own private terrace with shade from, yes you've guessed, a Wisteria. The communal living and kitchen space, shared with the rest of our party, is spacious and very well equipped with everything we could possibly need. The pool area is fenced for safety and surrounded by comfortable recliners with plenty of shade for those times when the sun is just too hot. The grounds are extensive with a large garden and seating area on the terrace, a covered barbecue area (with barbecue!) and beyond that Kay and Becky have an olive grove and orchard. We picked figs, oranges and pomegranates to have with lunch. The entire experience of staying in this fabulous place is one of peace, tranquility and quiet. There is also the town of Orgiva nearby (10 minutes in the car) for the market, shops, restaurants and bars. All in all, a stay at Almond Hill House is a lovely experience set in one of the most beautiful parts of Spain. Book it now and enjoy!!

Heerlijke rustgevende plek met prachtig uitzicht op de bergen en vallei van dit stukje Andalucië. Als je mazzel hebt, zie (en hoor je) je de geitenherder met zijn kudde langslopen 🐐 De (bad)kamers zijn superschoon, leuk ingericht (met hier en daar kunst van Kay aan de muur) en de bedden slapen heerlijk. Bovendien kan je lekker je kleding ophangen en zijn er ladenkasten voor je ondergoed. Wat ik heel prettig vind. Je wordt warm ontvangen door Becky en Kay. Ze hebben een waar paradijsje gemaakt van Almond Hill House, omgeven met veel groen, mooie planten , bloemen en af en toe een gekko! 🪴🌺🦎 Ik heb hier meegedaan aan een yogaretreat in mei (heerlijke temperatuur al), met Jane Bakx als yogalerares, waarbij we elke dag heerlijk vegetarisch te eten kregen en ook nog eens geweldige massages konden boeken. Die werden buiten op een hele fijne plek in een patio gegeven of in de yoga/art studio. Beter had ik me niet kunnen wensen. En als ik de dag kan beginnen met een heerlijke frisse duik in het fijne zwembad, me daarna lekker af kan spoelen onder de buitendouche om vervolgens voldaan neer te ploffen op zo'n heerlijk zonnebed; dan kan mijn dag al niet meer stuk! 😎☀️🥰

We finally reached the house on Almond Hill after a 6-hour drive from Madrid airport, on a warm and sunny summer's day. We arrived just before sunset, at the magic hour. Being surrounded by so much grandeur, blue skies and earthy colours allowed us to recharge our batteries immediately. The grounds of the property are quite large, well presented and separated between the owners' area and the rental area. The aesthetic is a mix of local colours and the lush tastes of Becky and Kay, both of whom are creative, which is no surprise. The beds are comfortable, the bedding soft, the towels of good quality and, of course, the attention to detail and continuity of design throughout the villa. The pool is fenced and the water was as clean as the blue sky overhead. The constant chirping of the local cicadas turned into dreamy and meditative melodies and lullabies during the day, I have to be honest I've never heard them so loud before and I've travelled to places where they can be heard. The orchard was full of lemons, figs, avocados and olive trees, such a luxury to be able to eat what you've harvested, I envied it. It was a luxury indeed to savour the fruits of one's own labor, a simple pleasure that I long for in my own life. All the produce has an authentic taste and my children couldn’t get enough of the lemonade and olive oil on offer every day. Becky and Kay have a profound understanding of their business, ensuring that every experience is maximised to its fullest potential. We look forward to returning and sharing more memorable moments with you.

It was an absolute delight to stay at AHH hosted by the most gracious hosts!! The property is a little oasis in the beauty of the Andalusian Sierra Nevada. With Google Maps it is easy to get to. My room and bathroom were great! I would recommend this for anyone that wants to have a get-away from everyday (work) life and just relax! Also lots of things to see in the area and great for hikes.

Well some secrets need to be uncovered as they deserve to be seen. The house is situated at end of a small road. It has has a stunning view and surrounding. Here you can enjoy life to the fullest with family (in my case) or friends or alone. The hostesses Kate and Becky made our arrival like we came home. The place is surrounded bij oliive, almonds citrus and many more trees . The nights are pitch dark an nature environment is historical scenery. The house is well renovated place . The village to do some shopping is only 10 minutes away but once at the house you are isolated The pool is great, really bij for swimming and the house has everything you need. I definitely have to come.back to get peace and rest. Master bedroom has airconditioning which I liked very much. The owners even thought about access with a wheel chair. Well done . 5 stars from me.

I'm from Granada and I know the Alpujarra very very well. I can say that this is one of the best houses I've ever stayed. We spent 4 days. The first one, we went to Órgiva (beautiful village) to buy groceries. After that, we didn't go out. The house is so beautiful, so relaxing and so big, that it is a perfect place to rest (what we did), but also for few families, with kids, it's absolutely perfect. Not only I highly recommend it, I'm going to come back for sure. From now on, it will be one of my references in Granada for short holidays. Thank you Sarah and Matt for everything, for being so good hosts and conceiving such a nice place.

Ruhig gelegenes hübsches Landhaus mit 4 separaten Schlafbereichen bzw. 5,5 Schlafzimmern oder bis zu 10 Betten. Daher sehr gut für auch nicht ganz homogene Gruppen oder Familien geeignet. Sehr hübsch eingerichtet mit allem was man braucht: Voll funktionale Küche, ausreichend Sitzgelegenheiten in- & outdoor, genügend Bäder, Pool, W-LAN, Kaminofen und sogar eine Tischtennisplatte. Schöne Lage abseits der Hauptstraße mit Aussicht auf Sierra Nevada und Olivenhaine. Nette Inhaber vor Ort, die aber überhaupt nicht aufdringlich sind. Vielen Dank!
