Sometimes being Square is a Good Thing
Overall: The deposit of our funds has always been very quick and as promised. The ability to use a terminal, cellphone or the card reader makes taking payments remotely very easy. Pros: Many ways to take and process the payments - Easy To Use. Sending a link to a customer for payment eliminates needing to take the card information over the telephone Cons: The buy now pay later portion of the Square system is more difficult to use than we would like. Hence we do not use it. The 6% processing fee for this choice is also rather high.
Good on the go system
Overall: It was very easy to plug into my tablets and use on the go for customer billing. However if the service or internet was slow or went down the service wouldn't work. This would frustrate customers and myself. Pros: I liked the ease of taking this on the go for east payment from customers at boutiques and shows. It was easy to plug into my tablet and swipe Cons: If the service or internet is slow or goes down this system will not work. It made working some shows horrible trying to process payments.
A very user-friendly way to accept payments!!!
Overall: Square is a very helpful tool for businesses to allow easy credit card charges. It’s also very user friendly and all staff can understand it quickly! Pros: I like how easy it is to use and that there is not subscription required. You can not use it for 6 months and easily pick it back up for an event. Cons: While there it’s nice there’s no subscription fees, the transaction fees feel relatively high for small purchases. An option for lesser fees associated with a donation or nonprofit charge would be appreciated!
Moderate excitement
Overall: I think the rates are high up now, cos many competitors can easily offer 1.8% processing rates as compared to Square that is still stuck in the 2.6% region Pros: Simple set up, flat fee rates.. even though i think the price factor adds up eventually. And oh yes! - easier and ridiculously cheaper than traditional merchant accounts for moderate card use. Cons: Square was built to integrate unavoidably in my many ways hence has many features linked to its success so that If you’re only using Square to accept payments and ignoring its software features, you might be overpaying compared to many alternatives.
Easy payment processort
Overall: Overall, Square is easy to set-up, integrate, and collect payments. It is a reliable processor that allows us to do business as needed. Pros: Square is mostly simple to use for someone that just needs a payment processor that works. I appreciate that I'm able to integrate Square into other services I use, such as Jotform, and also within webpages. The reporting features allow me to pull data from a range of fields and pinpoint transactions. I appreciate how easy it is to issue refunds, when needed. Cons: It was be a bit confusing to navigate the dashboard and find the information you need. The search bar is necessary to find pretty much everything. When issuing a refund, processing fees are not refunded by Square so the business actually has to pay out of pocket for those anytime a refund is needed.
Straightforward setup and ease of use
Overall: Great, very straightforwards, structured and easy to implement within businesses to make payments so much simpler for clients Pros: Easy to setup and implement with existing system through integration. Speed to setup was great and taking card payments is so much easier online now. Cons: Nothing that I didn't like about it as easy to use and setup, card payments online are so much easier
Square system review
Overall: Simple and effective solution to collect payments for my customers who also think it is simple and easy to use. Pros: Simple to use and there is no monthly fees, it is solely based on how much you make which is good for a small business Cons: Fees can be a little high per payment but is way better then the other options available (Moneris payments)
Top Tier Payment Process For Your E-Com. Site
Overall: We have used it on about 80% of the e-commerece websites we have made for ourselves and clients. It's a great secure payment gateway and also great to have along side other options such as PayPal. Pros: Very easy to integrate to your website and a secure way to take payments that are know and trusted by customers. Cons: The fees could be a bit lower but that is pretty standard across the payment processor industry so it's not only their fault.
To handle payments
Pros: Easy to use day to day. Payments go through quick, the terminal’s small and the app is clear. Handy for taking payments in store without fuss. Cons: But the reports are kinda limited. Not many options to look into sales in detail. And if you want more tracking or accounting stuff, it’s still pretty basic.
Easily receive payments from clients, but double check settings
Pros: Square payments is easy to use for invoicing your clients. You can set up one time or recurring invoices. Square payments accept credit cards, ACH transfers, and gift cards. Cons: The default settings seem to change frequently. I need to double check everything before sending an invoice.
Still happy to this day…
Overall: Continued excellence! I appreciate their ease of use and the functionality of their platform. I also like the use of their sales reports. Pros: Square payments has improved their customer service and ease of use tremendously over the last several years. Very happy to continue to use their services. Cons: Nothing at this time! The one issue I have is that the rates have inched up slightly over the last year.
Very Good, Excellent
Overall: It is a the best payment gateway. Support. App. Easy and reliable. Most all the payment feature works properly Pros: Support team is always available. You can be in touch with them anytime. The opposite of stripe that manages your money and you have no good support. Can’t speak with support never. Cons: As a payment way i really can find any cons. So I just can say nothing against a very good payment site
Great for a small business
Overall: We used square to process online bookings and as a POS for events and shows outside of our normal brick and mortar. The fees were reasonable and competitive and the payout was quick and easy. The reporting functions are also helpful and easy to use. Overall a good experience for a small business. I do not think it would work well with large commercial businesses because of its limitations. Pros: I enjoyed the convenience of having a portable POS and way to accept card payments at events outside of physical business location. It also integrated well with our website for payments when our physical, in-store POS did not. Cons: The card reader itself is sometimes finicky. The older style scan one worked well, but most phones and devices don't have an audio jack to support that function. The new tap to pay is not always as reliable as the older style was.
Square Payments is the way to go!
Overall: I have been using Square Payments since 2020. I love Square as a service and they keep the service fresh and exciting. The fees are nominal and they never surprise us. If anything is changing that tell us way in advance. The UI/UX is always being refreshed and kept modern and they go above and beyond to listen to the community. Pros: What I love about Square Payments is the ease of use, the versatility, and the security. Customers can tap, dip, swipe, and use other options like CashApp Pay, Google Pay, and Apple Pay as well as deferment options like AfterPay. Cons: I do not dislike anything about Square Payments. It just works for me and has worked well the 5+ years I have been using it.
Square Payments Review
Overall: I've used used square payments when ordering merchandises from businesses. I've also used square payments to get beauty services done. It was a easy process and instant deposit. Pros: Square payments is user friendly, Square payments is an affordable software. Square payments setup process is user friendly and pricing is reasonable and no monthly fees. Cons: The cons about Square payments is the transaction fee. Another con would be getting in contact with customer service.
Great payment platform that is easy to use and set up.
Pros: Very easy to set up and very mobile friendly. Also easy to use with minimal hardware costs but has streamlined hardware if you need it. Cons: The fees are a little higher than some other services and they have started charging for things that used to be complimentary.
My Go-To Payment Processor
Overall: It is my go-to payment processor. Very easy to use from mobile or on web. Everything from invoice reminders, to sending to multiple contacts, to reporting is east to use. Pros: I love the simplicity. Invoice and received payments through one system. I also really love how you only pay when you use the service - no monthly subscription fees. Cons: I did not like how it was not very easy to change customer's billing information. For a while they would not accept our new postal code.
Easy to setup, versatile
Pros: Square Payments is extremely easy to setup and accepts cards from all the vendors. It was easy to connect to our website and bank accounts. Cons: You need to keep an eye out for the hardware in your mail, and then take time to set everything up. However, I expect that this would be the case for any similar software.
Eating From A Square Plate
Overall: Overall, my experience has been fine, and seeing how restaurants offer Square as a payment option (or their only option) is familiar to me, so much so that I find the app synonymous with ordering food. Though I'm aware it can be used for other goods/services, Square has worked well for me when dealing with restaurants. Pros: I liked that Square was integrated with many restaurants and felt tailor-made to the physical card scanner. It's relatively easy to use and was quick for me, whether at home or up at the counter. Cons: The app itself, and the user design, is not too pleasing to the eye, or rather--it is forgettable. It provides a service that competes with other similar apps and isn't on the forefront of the mind when deciding on how or when to pay.
