Our dinner with Chef Casper was one of the highlights of our trip to Nosara, Costa Rica. The food was fresh, inventive, and oh so delicious. The whole family enjoyed the meal and have raved about it since. The service was impeccable and spending the evening with Chef Casper was a pleasure. A truly special evening. We had the absolute pleasure of having Chef Casper and Chef Maria from Alegría Dining cook for us! From start to finish, everything was exceptional — the presentation, the flavors, and the overall experience. Casper thoughtfully put together a custom menu based on what we asked for, and each course was beautifully crafted and absolutely delicious. Casper and Maria were warm, professional, and clearly passionate about their craft. We couldn’t recommend Alegría Dining more highly!

Casper’s food was pure magic. After days surfing and in the hot sun, this food was all natural, organic, authentic and made my whole experience in Nosara just divine. Let’s just be honest, best meal I’m Costa Rica ever! Been here 5 times and this was hands down the best meal and most enjoyable time with my family. Food and quality of everything was 7 stars. Casper was above and beyond. Wish I would booked this experience several nights. This is a must do! Highly recommend

There are not enough words to express how wonderful Casper and his team are. We had the pleasure of having Casper cook for 16 of us during our weekend wedding celebration. Just returned from a week long trip in Costa Rica. Casper and team did a fantastic job of starting off everyone’s day with a delicious breakfast! Not only that - he went above and beyond in making delicious poke for one lunch and amazing tacos another day. Having amazing quality food with equally good presentation truly was a tipping point in making this trip so memorable. If you have the opportunity to bring Casper into your kitchen - do it!

We had an exceptional culinary experience with Chef Casper and his assistant Maria. The food was fresh and delicious, the menu was well thought out and everything was homemade using local ingredients and produce. The presentation was very appetizing and we enjoyed the explanation of every dish. Casper is a charming young chef who clearly loves what he does and is exited to share his passion to cook for people who appreciate an elevated but non fussy meal. Casper, our private chef, was extremely professional and engaging. He made an effort to get to know us, while simultaneously whipping up some of the best food we ate during our stay.
What I appreciated about this experience was consistency. The food came out at the time it was supposed to, and it was absolutely delicious!
We had some fresh tuna, while talking to Casper about the origin of the fish and his background in the culinary world. He patiently explained everything to us and overall left us with a very delightful night.
Lastly, I loved how clean everything was. The team cleaned the kitchen continuously and at all times maintained a station that was pleasant to look at.
I'm telling you: you want this experience!!
Casper cooked dinner for our group of 11 friends in Guanacaste. Best dinner we had during our trip!
Casper was extremely friendly, professional and easy to coordinate with. The whole process was seamless. He sent over a menu with a lot of options and was really accommodating for the dietary restrictions in our group. He came on time and dinner started exactly at the time we planned.
The food… wow. The tuna tiradito and fried cauliflower were our favorite dishes! He baked us the most amazing sourdough bread!! The food was beautifully plated and he even prepared the table and cleaned the kitchen afterwards. Thank you Casper and team for such a wonderful dinner!! Can’t wait to have you the next time we are in Nosara.
Best Private Chef and Dinning experience in Nosara, Costa Rica. We had 2 brunches with Alegria Dinning for a retreat, and they were truly incredible. Casper cooked for my 30th and boyfriend’s 40th birthday dinner when we were in Nosara, CR. He is seriously phenomenal! He has such a great personality and a super talented chef. We are huge foodies and he met all of our expectations and more! I couldn’t have asked for a better birthday dinner. I can promise you, you will not regret hiring him for your next dinner party or event!
Where to start…Algeria dining did a truly incredible job creating delicious and beautiful meals for our entire stay at the Mamawata Surf Retreat. I felt like I was eating at a fine dining restaurant every meal but without all the fuss. They used a wide variety fresh and local ingredients and often created us some Tico inspired meals to give us a taste of the local cuisine! They also made me realize that when done with care and creativity, plant-based/pescatarian cuisine can be so dang delicious!! I’m still dreaming about all of those meals…Mil gracias a Casper y Nikki for nourishing us and doing it with ready smile/joke the whole time!
I had the joy (and privilege) to have them as our chef for one week and it was amazing. I just couldn’t wait for the next meal to come. Alegría dining is an exquisite pallet experience. They take care of every detail and make sure everyone is satisfied and happy. I highly recommend Alegría dining!
