My husband was diagnosed of Parkinsons disease 2 years ago, when he was 49. He had a stooped posture, tremors, right arm does not move and also a pulsating feeling in his body. He was placed on Senemet for 8 months and then Sifrol was introduced and replaced the Senemet, during this time span he was also diagnosed with dementia. He started having hallucinations, lost touch with reality. As someone who has dealt with Sciatica himself, Dr Joe new exactly what I was experiencing and was able to treat me most effectively. After describing my limitations, Dr Joe was able to adapt his treatments to my situation (I could not lie flat on my stomach, due to the pain). I saw results after a couple of weeks. It's not going to happen overnight (so be patient), but Dr Joe has effective alternatives to help you through the in between stages. I recommend him to anyone who is experiencing back pain.
This was my first time trying acupuncture, and I'm so grateful to Dr. Joe for making it such a positive experience. I've felt a tremendous improvement since starting treatment, both physically and mentally. His knowledge, professionalism, and calming presence immediately put me at ease. I've had moderate to severe eczema since I was a baby and have tried countless products and services, seeing little to no improvement. I went to see Dr. Alban for my eczema and muscular pain in late January and immediately experienced relief - which is remarkable given how dry and cold this New York winter was! I highly recommend Alban Acupuncture. I have been coming to complement the PT for tightness/soreness in my right shoulder. Not only is Dr. Alban knowledgeable about acupuncture, he provides very good guidance about exercising to help with your healing. He is also great when it comes to dealing with your insurance company. The mobility in my right should improved dramatically after the acupuncture visits.

Joe is amazing. His bedside manner is unmatched; he takes the time to listen deeply and I always feel heard. He's always been able to help me with whatever I am dealing with from skin issues to body pain to gut issues and stress. I value his ability to assess what is going on, and problem solve with herbs and acupuncture in a professional and intuitive way.
He always will take time to thoroughly do research when I need a custom formula, and always responds within a few hours if we are not in session. Acupuncture and Chinese herbs are some of the best things I've done for my health, and I've worked with a number of acupuncturists and Joe is by far the best one.
