I used Alba to organise a days salmon fishing on the river tweed for my husband and Stewart was so helpful. The process was easy, communication was good and the day well that was even better! He provided us with a fab guide, and the information on how the day would run and what was required was very useful. Had an incredible time fishing the Spey with Scott Rutherford. He has a great style and is a very good instructor. Really helped me improve my Spey casting. Also provided high quality equipment. I have fished all over the world with many different guides and he is among the best. I highly recommend him.

Spent a wonderful day on the Spey River in the Tulchan Estate with Alba Fishing guide Scott Rutherford. Having little two- handed spey fishing experience, it was awesome having such a patient teacher in Scott. His dedication and enthusiasm for all things fishing made for a day I will never forget. Had the best day fishing the River Tweed with Graeme! He was very helpful and knowledgeable. All around nice guy and unforgettable time! Caught several brown trout and a couple greyling! Would have been happy just getting out but Graeme know what he was doing and helped us catch some fish. If you’re looking for a great experience fly fishing in Scotland, I couldn’t recommend Alba more!

We had an amazing day on the River Tweed with Graeme! He knew exactly where the honey pots were, and thanks to his expertise we caught plenty of trout and even a huge grayling. We were three brothers and a brother in law from Scotland. We completed four days on River Spey, River Dee and River Devron.

Great weekend fishing with our guide Graeme on the Tweed at Dryburgh and Galashiels. Two lovely fishing beats, and although the river is low, lots of trout and grayling caught. Was a gift for my pals birthday and we both had a very enjoyable weekend. I'd definately recommend Alba and Graeme. Jim

Fantastic couple of days with Graeme on the Tay for Salmon then the Tweed for trout. Completely new to salmon fishing and was well looked after with spey casting tuition and building on watercraft skills. Caught plenty of trout and had a couple of nice Greyling to cap it all off. Graeme was incredibly helpful and recommend Alba to anyone. Absolutely fantastic experience. Thanks to Stewart as well for sorting the booking and admin.

Great fishing day with Scott Rutherford! The river is beautiful. I learned how to Spey casting, Scott was really patient throughout the lesson. After lunch, we got on a boat to deeper spots at the river.
The booking process was really smooth. Stewart is responsive to email inquiries and accommodating.
Highly recommended. I would do it again.
