Run now! Don't walk here. Went for brunch and everything was outstanding. Bacon is as thick as bricks, sunny side up eggs perfectly cooked, their egg biscuit sandwich was definitely my fave. Then, their hot chocolate for dessert, oh so decadent. I know nothing about Hungarian cuisine but if I had a Hungarian grandmother, THIS is how its done. Food, service, atmosphere *big sloppy chef's kiss. Can't wait to try their dinner menu next!
This place was friendly, warm, and just plain fun. My girlfriend and I came here for our 2 year anniversary brunch/lunch and left giddy. Every dish or snack was delicious and vibrant. This place has the best tuna melt I’ve ever had by orders of magnitude. The country club plate was a personal favorite because I love to nosh. The general profiles of most things were similar across the board (funky, salty, sour, fishy) but everything had its own distinct flavor and never got boring. The service was attentive and friendly but not overbearing, and everything came out incredibly fast.
It really doesn’t even need to be said but the tuna melt is the best one I’ve had. Didn’t get them, but the deviled eggs and crepes looked so good will definitely try next time. Only downside is wait time is insane on the weekends! Took us about 1.5 hours to get a table of 2 after 11am. I hope Agi’s counter will one day expand!
Came here for Sunday brunch and loved it. Sunday hours run 10am–3pm, and it's been on my list forever because of the Michelin guide recommendation and so many awards that this restaurants has gotten.
I came as a walk-in and waited about an hour. Reservations are definitely recommended on weekends, but the wait wasn’t too bad — I took a quick trip to the Brooklyn Botanic Garden right next door, which worked out perfectly. Their reservation system texts you when your table is ready
What I ordered:
• Fánk (Hungarian donut) — Sunday-only and goes fast. Light, soft, slightly sweet, and seasonal. Kind of reminds me of a challah texture
• Sandwich special — mine was a pastrami beef tongue reuben; big flavor, generous portion. I love the mustard it came with
• Tuna melt — griddled pullman bread, melty alpine cheddar, plus slaw and mustard. Super comforting. This is their signature, I liked it but I loved the pastrami more
• Nokedli soup — tear-dropped dumplings in chicken broth; this was a bit oily so not sure I'd get this one again.
Charming space, friendly team, and well-made comfort food. but Wait can be long but great spot for a relaxing Sunday brunch.

I came to this restaurant because I heard from someone stating that the dumpling soup was good, i ordered it and it was good but nothing to rave about. My friend had her dish which was okay. The waiter that attended us was rude. He was extremely dismissive despite him not having too many tables to take care of. When me and my friend were done and had paid he came and picked up everything and in a very passive aggressive manner he basically kicked us out of the restaurant. We were not even there 2 minutes and there were plenty of other empty seats and the restaurant was not crowded. We were never rude to him even if he was, we even did give a nice tip. There was a surprise fee that was not the tip of something that was not explained too well. I was planning on returning with other friends but because of this specific waiter I will not be returning and advising people to go to other places with equally good food but better service. The soup dumpling was sub par and it was also quite a commute to come here. I don't see why people like it here.
Very delicious brunch really enjoyed everything we ordered. Nothing was a letdown excellent deviled eggs, super creamy and decadent. The tuna melt was very enjoyable as where the crêpes. Bummed out the cheesecake was gone already but we will just have to go back. Service was super friendly.
