Excellent tours Am Joseph Tamale Lukwago from Uganda Hartebeesttoursandtravel I had a memorable safari with African unique wildness safaris with Joel as my tour and driver where we visited Chobe national park, kasani Town, the new bridge or zambezi Bridge, Capriv ,Elephant sands Netta, makadikadi national Park where I saw millions of zebras and thousands of Elephants ,maun city, I can't forget Moremi national park 3rd bridge wowowo the best of the best okavango delta,boat s like mikoro boat many many wildlife kudu,cheetahs,lions, painted dogs alot and it needs everyone to visit and I recommend Joel with african unique wildness safari. Yes also I welcome u to zuganda the pearl of Africa for gorillas and primates to. I remain yours Joseph Tamale Lukwago

Rwanda! What an experience! Rwanda! What an experience! From the minute we landed in Kigali from Johannesburg and were met at the airport by Michael Savage of African Unique Safaris, and his driver Rukundo, the adventure began in the most seamless and professional of ways. Rukundo proved to be much more than a driver; he is highly knowledgeable and informed about everything so made for a very good travel companion and conversationalist too! I highly recommend going for 2 gorilla treks as opposed to the usual one. It would have been impossible to predict how entirely different and unique! each experience was. The hospitality received from every establishment and from every individual was extraordinarily humbling. Not since trekking in Nepal have I encountered a more caring and attentive people. Aside from the gorillas, a must-see is the Kigali Genocide Museum. It was a hard hitting and heart breaking experience that gives you insight into what these people have come through and a lesson to us all. I cannot sing the praises enough of African Unique Safaris - and of course, the gorillas! - for making our trip completely memorable and one of the best adventures ever. Making memories We have seen so many beautiful places, met so many nice people and experienced so many fantastic activities that it is too much for a review. During our tour we also visited places where our (grand)mother (in law) had memories from the time she lived in Rwanda from ‘75 to ’79 and gave birth to a son and daughter. We made lots of new family memories. Our driver (and his car 😊) made it a success. Attached is our thank you letter to express our appreciation and gratitude.It is really stunning that a relatively small country – with good roads – host so many different types of landscapes. With the endless lush hills along the route as a red string making very nice views during the road trips. We especially liked the atmosphere of Butare and Karongi, without doing other places short. Nyungwe forest was great, Kivu lake was great, vulcanoes were great and Akagera NP was great. During our trip the company had to change a booked accommodation near Karongi. They arranged Moriah hill resort. This turned out to a our favourite. A fantastic place directyl at the lake shore and base for lake trips.A big highlight was a visit to a family of mountain gorillas. A truly lifetime experience and creating a lot of respect for nature and conservation.

Amazing Rwanda We had the most amazing trip guided by Jeremiah. Such a great itinerary which took in the sights of Kigali, Lake Kivu, Nyungwe National park and the amazing gorillas in the Volcanoes National Park. Jeremiah was the perfect host for the trip. He was super knowledgeable and great company on our drives. Can’t recommend this country, African Unique Safaris and Tours, and Jeremiah enough! !

I recommend the DRC gorilla trek I had a great experience going on a tour organised by African unique safaris. They were able to tailor a tour for me as a solo traveler, where I saved a significant amount by going by bus rather than taking a private car, which is expensive for just one person.And the gorilla trek in DRC was truly unique and a once in a lifetime experience.

The best way to see Rwanda We had an outstanding experience with African Unique! It was one of the smoothest and easiest trips we've taken in terms of planning, we were very well taken care of throughout our trip, and our guide Rukundo Jean Pierre aka JP was helpful and fun all throughout. Before the trip they were very communicative and responsive over email. I would highly recommend this company to anyone that is interested in traveling to the wonderful country of Rwanda and would suggest you ask for JP as your guide!

Best DMC in the country There are so many things that are well done from this company that we don’t know where to start. The pick up a deer for was easy and sweet, the largest that we stay at where not only nice, but with friendly and very professional people. Recommend visiting Rwanda - Safe, beautiful, unique, lifechanging Visiting Rwanda was a great experience. Would definitely recommend.We were travelling in a couple for our honeymoon. Spent at total 5 days, visiting Kigali, Virunga and Lake Kivu.Chris Swaib was our guide - very professional, punctual, cordial, dedicated and knowledgeable / intellectual:- During the trip, we have a significant amount of time to learn from Chris about the local culture, economy, history, education, challenges, among others - he was just able to discuss with deepness every topic- Chris was very dedicated to "solve our problems". As an example, he borrowed me his own shoes to allow me visiting the Gorilas in more safety (as I wasn't wearing appropriate shoes)- Moreover, the overall trip was very smooth, with Chris driving us safely everywhere.The trip in Rwanda as a whole was very interesting, beautiful, and mind opening. Would recommend that for anyone.

Excellent Service & Guide What an amazing trip to Uganda. Although we flew to Kigali we spent most of our one week in Uganda. A guide can make or break your adventure and we had the best guide, Gordon. He is a local guy that knows his way around. He went over and above our expectations to be sure we had the best experience. Chimps, Gorillas, African Wildlife were part of the tour but equally amazing were the the Ugandan locals. We recommend African Unique Safaris and Tours.

Truly worth the visit Guides and trackers are well informed. The country emerges from a such a history and they are achieving so much. The hotels we stayed at had excellent service and the landscape is amazing. Its an inspiration for African development. The tours were great, as well as the gorrila's and the little we saw of what the people are striving for, it also has an island between DRC and Rwanda that is independent and has tours to it too. Just hope that it remains on the path to development as its landlocked, and that AU, UN and such bodies can do something about the DRC that needs to resolve its own problems so Rwanda can hopefully liase with them to share forest space as DRC is +- 90 times bigger.

Flawless experience for a bucket list trip Definitely Gorilla experience. Also loved our guides Jean Marie and Jeremiah. The level of hospitality is on another level. All comforts are seen to both in the vehicle and the lodges chosen by this fantastic company. Absolutely amazing I recently did a Rwanda gorilla tracking and golden monkey tracking with Explorer Plus that made all the arrangements and African Unique Safaris and Tours that welcomed us on the other side. From the first moment, we were treated like VIP's and everything possible was done to make our trip very special. Not only was Jeremiah extremely knowledgeable, friendly, reliable and professional, he also shared a bit of his country's background with us, clearly displaying his love for his wonderful country. For the tracking, Oliver was our guide and he made absolutely sure that everything is well managed. The team of porters, guides, etc, were fantastic, making sure that we got more than what we bargained for. During this Covid time, they were extremely professional to ensure that everybody is respected and adhere to requirements. With regards to nature in the park, their respect and love for nature, was beautiful to experience. My encounter with Rwanda and it's people was an enriching experience and I would always be thankful to the people who went out of their way to accommodate us. From the arrival at the airport, right to the end, everything is well organized, absolutely perfect. I would not want it any other way. I can highly recommend both companies

Gorilla Trekking in Rwanda The whole experience was absolutely fantastic! Our drives, Eric & Jeremiah, were excellent drivers, well spoken, extremely knowledgeable, very friendly and helpful. The whole trip was well planned and ran like clockwork. The visit to the Genocide Memorial was an essential item on the itinerary, those who suffered and died will certainly never be forgotten and deserve to be remembered for ever. The gorillas were amazing! I thoroughly enjoyed the hikes up in the Volcanoes National park. Our guides, trackers and porters were incredible, had such fun. I was so impressed with Rwanda as a country, it’s people and their conservation efforts, I will go back there in a heart beat. This trip exceeded all my expectations, highly recommended!!!

Gorilla and Chimpanzee Trekking and more Our guide, Sam, was incredible. We spent 6 days in Rwanda doing gorilla and chimpanzee trekking as well as a bird watching tour and a city tour of Kigali and the Genocide Museum.Sam was polite, professional and friendly throughout. He took the needs of the group into consideration, and made some well received suggestions. We could not have asked for a better experience!The vehicle was clean and comfortable, with bottled water (in a fridge!) and hand sanitizer available whenever needed.An incredible country and the most special and memorable trip imaginable - highly highly recommend Rwanda, Sam and African Unique Safari and Tours
