We had a wonderful time! I was really impressed with the tour. We started the day with awful weather and were worried the tour wouldn't go ahead, but they did everything they could to ensure that the tour happened. I was a bit worried about crevasses and the ice caves as I have claustrophobia, but our tour guide Lucy was incredibly kind and made sure I was comfortable the whole time. We did the easier tour and it was very manageable, and very beautiful. I would thoroughly recommend this tour!

5 Day Northern Lights, Golden Circle, South Coast, Jökulsárlón & Ice Cave: The aim of my visit was to finally see the Northern Lights but I wanted to see some of the Island too - Arctic Adventures delivered in spades! There was an initial hiccup over date availability but after that organisation and comms were faultless. Each day delivered new and exciting adventures along the south coast and Golden Circle. Highlights included Diamond Beach with mini-icebergs, the Glacier walk and ice-cave (amazing!) and several stunning waterfalls and black sand beaches. The night boat tour to see the Northern Lights was breathtaking (mother nature cooperated!) and not to be missed. Hotel accommodation was great throughout and better than I was expecting. Our tour guide Michel was outstanding - his local knowledge, sense of humour and appreciation of the whole group (from children to pensioners! ) added to the enjoyment factor immeasurably! Very highly recommended!

We did the 2 day south coast tour and would definitely recommend it. The mini bus was comfortable, the accommodation was nice it’s a good way to see some amazing places in Iceland.

My boyfriend and I went on the Northern Lights Tour 12/12, and it was truly the best part of our entire trip. Our guide was Gummi and he was incredible. We were able to see the lights with our own eyes. It was breathtaking. He knew exactly where the lights were going to be and took so many amazing pictures for us. If you're in Iceland, I recommend using this company. We met other people at our hotel who said other companies cancelled the tour because they believed they wouldn't see any Northern Lights. Use Arctic Adventures!!

Fantastic day tour! Our family of six adults took the small group day tour of the Golden Circle and it was FANTASTIC! Spectacular scenery with an incredible blend of nature, hiking and fun. We saw geysers, volcanic calderas, Icelandic horses, stunning waterfalls, and the gorgeous national park and tectonic plate fissures. Incredible!But our guide, “Thor,” really made the trip extra special. He was knowledgeable, interesting, and very funny. And he was very kind and clear on where to meet and with recommendations on best viewing sites. We really appreciated all of his insights and information as we peppered him with questions the whole day, which he answered so patiently and well. A BIG thank you to the tour company and to Thor—they made our trip start with excellence!

Christmas trip Sometimes, the weather has its own plans. What was meant to be a well-organized Christmas trip quickly turned into a series of cancellations and last-minute changes. One of the places I had longed to visit was dropped from the itinerary due to time constraints. But when I received a sudden notice that my original tour was canceled the night before, I decided to take a chance and book a spontaneous trip to the famous plane wreck site—a place that had always been on my bucket list.Winter in the Arctic is unforgiving. With only a few hours of daylight, every minute counts. I set out early, determined to make the most of the limited time. Despite the chaos and the cold, the day turned out to be unexpectedly beautiful. The sun peeked through the clouds, a rainbow arched across the sky, and the guide shared stories and insights throughout the journey.And then, just when I thought the day couldn’t get any better, the Northern Lights appeared—dancing silently across the sky. It felt like a reward for all the setbacks, a reminder that sometimes the most magical moments come when plans fall apart.This trip taught me a valuable lesson: in the Arctic winter, time is precious, and flexibility is key. The aurora borealis is not something you can schedule—it’s a gift you might be lucky enough to receive. Though I lost time and missed a few destinations, I gained something far more meaningful: perspective, spontaneity, and a renewed sense of wonder.Here’s to better planning next time, but also to embracing the unexpected. I’m already dreaming of my next Nordic adventure—hopefully with clearer skies and even brighter lights.
