First and foremost, I would like to thank the entire staff for the love they have shown my son as well my self. Ms. Linda at the front desk kept in contact with me for 3 months straight trying to correct what my sons pediatrician office was not doing. She stayed consistent and finally got us our appointment here at Advent Therapy in Richmond hill. Finally, we had our first appointment with Ms. Brooke. My son has become a whole new kid with her. He has blossomed ! And we respect and absolutely love her as a therapist and new friend! Thank You For all you guys do! We will definitely be by to visit often!

I went in for a physical therapy appointment with Dr. Worst because I was dealing with pretty bad back pain. She was very professional, listened carefully to what I was feeling, and explained everything in a way that was easy to understand. The exercises and treatment she used made a big difference, and my back felt noticeably better afterward. Overall, it was a great experience and I’m really glad I went.

The office staff at this facility are very unprofessional and rude. My husband went there two times for his therapy appointments. His last appointment there was supposed to last for 2 hours and we requested that he finished a little early so we could make another appointment that was scheduled at another facility. The office staff gave me a hard time saying that they don't get paid if they don't see the patients which we were only requesting that they slit their time with him so we could leave a half an hour early. We were told that they were not able to accommodate us but what I found funny was he was out of there in 1 hour instead of 2 hours because they really couldn't do all of his therapy that day anyways because of his restrictions but instead of them looking at that in the beginning they decided to give us a hard time. I was not happy that the office staff gave me a hard time so we decided we didn't want to deal with those type of people anymore and we canceled the rest of his appointments and went somewhere else. And I will say the office staff were shopping online for new glasses and on their phones and I did snap a few pictures just in case if I need it to use it to show their office manager what they do while they're on the clock in front of patients. But from the looks of it the office manager probably knows what she has working out front and doesn't care. Its very unprofessional and especially being in a doctor's office, no employee should have their phones out in front of their computer where patient's information is stored. Save yourself the time and go elsewhere
I am sorry you feel you were mistreated. The therapists enjoyed working with your husband. We went out of our way to accommodate you by scheduling future appointments together as close as possible. Our initial paperwork states our 24 hour notice/ cancellation policy. If we have notice, we can fill your cancel spot with someone eager to get in due to our waitlist. After scheduling your husband's appointments back to back to help with your schedule, you walked in the day of and said you could stay for one appointment but not the other. You stated he had another appointment, non related to his injury, and could not stay but that I could call his case manager.
We take great pride in giving our patients the best care from start, front desk, to finish. We are thankful that most of our reviews are 5 star. We wish your husband the best and hope that he heals quickly !

Went for 14 weeks after a car accident. BEST PLACE FOR PHYSICAL THERAPY I kid you not! I have heard horror stories of people being worse after but I'm glad the first place I went to got denied by insurance! It was the only place that wasn't 1.5 hrs away that took my marketplace government insurance so I said "why not?" 30mins vs 1.5hrs...you do the math lol
People and friends would always ask if I was in pain (not sore) after physical therapy because that's what they expect.
I came in on crutches and using a shower chair. My therapy was a month delayed(due to my doctor) but my progress there made up for it! I graduated today and I'm exceedingly happy with the progress and knowledge of the staff. The receptionist is also great! But especially my physical therapist Hunter :D I'm sad to leave but at the same time I'm glad that I could graduate 🥲 I like it there and I NEVER missed and appointment the whole 14 weeks! It is a bitter sweet moment. I had nothing but progress and WE worked hard to get here!!
Everytime I came back, I would be asked how I felt the days after the PT. Adjustments were made based on ny feedback. I learned that the purpose of PT is not to be in pain, but to have exercises that challenge you but that aren't too much for your body to handle. Hunter did a great job at noticing that (if I didn't) as well as switching up exercises based on how my body was reacting! Check-ins on how I was feeling or for pain during my PT too!
I was given a print out of exercises I can do on my own now (and while in therapy), given an email if I need anything else (or I can call front desk), email reminders for appointments (or a printout if I needed one), and was told I could come back if I had a re-injury (but let's hope not since I was taught how to engage my core and how to do exercises correctly.)
I would recommend Advent Therapy to everyone! The environment is great, very clean, and staff function as a unit :) They love where they work and I love it there too!
If there wasn't people who needed physical therapy more than I do now, I would pay their out of pocket rates just to go back!😂 Rates are reasonable and I am WILLING to drive 30mins to see them again!
Also, I didn't go for my bad posture but after applying what I learned with engaging my core, my posture also improved so that's a plus!! They are the BEST! :D

Monday, I had my last session & graduated from physical therapy! It’s so bittersweet! I had the pleasure of having the most amazing and sweetest PT you can have. Maria is such a ray of sunshine! She definitely did not play ANY games with me. But it was to only get me stronger! Listennnnn, i started out with bambi legs now im feeling like i can just MAYBE keep up with Megan thee stallion 🤣🤣🤣 I truly enjoyed going for the challenge every week. It was worth the drive from Stewart every week. Every PT in there has something special about them that definitely keeps the business together! Definitely going to miss the team. 💪🏽

I love the therapists that work with me and would give 5 stars if it wasn't how horrible the lady that runs the front desk is.
Every time I come in she is rude and doesn't want to help work around circumstances that are necessary for me to continue to my sessions at this location. I am trying my best to continue coming here because as I said I love the therapists but am at the final straw with the front desk after today when I went to schedule my apt for the following week she said "what do you want" and when I went to tell her she interrupted me because she had to call a 'no show'... imo that should have waited until after we were done and was unprofessional to call them right in front of me stating their name and everything. My driver even said afterwards that it's anoying that any time I tried to speak the receptionist would interrupt me and was unwilling to work with me at all without even letting me speak.
She also had told me I was a no show for my last appointment when I have the calls to prove I called 24 hours in advance and left a voice mail but she still told me in the future there would be a charge for no showing-- which i wasnt--- I called the day before. I felt like she called the person in front of me as some kind of petty show. She's unbelievably rude every time I come in and have just about had it.
I am sorry that you had an unpleasant experience with scheduling. I am happy that you love the therapists you work with and would like to further discuss your concerns at a time convenient for you.

Occupational therapy with Christina is wonderful. Truly helping me after an accident and surgery and bad therapy experiences prior. One on one therapy is hard to find and they practice that here. Very helpful with scheduling also.
Loved the therapist my son was seeing so sad to part ways with her . But the office manager is absolutely unprofessional and has no empathy. We have had to cancel two appointments because my TWO year old son has been in and out of the hospital from being sick, and instead of showing a little compassion she wants to lecture my husband about missed appointments. Do you think as parents we want to cancel sessions that are helping our child? Absolutely not, nor do we want to bring covid/other sicknesses into the building. As a company you need to do better.

Initially your husband did not say why he was canceling the appointment. Due to previous cancels, I asked if there would be a time that would work better and offered scheduling week to week because of the attendance concern. Once revealed the cancellation was due to illness, I said well we certainly don't expect attendance when sick and I hope he feels better. I am sorry for the misunderstanding and miscommunication.

I received physical therapy from Advent for my foot. It was a great group of therapists with a flexible schedule. Most importantly I saw good results after enduring nearly a year of pain. Would recommend for physical therapy needs.
So thankful for Mrs. Holly for helping me strengthen the areas of concern and working through some long standing hip/back issues. She also showed me several exercises to use at home and gave me more information to help me be successful after completing my goals and leaving the program.

When my newborn son’s primary care provider first told me he needed PT, I was nervous and honestly thought I’d dread having to take him to weekly appointments.
That all changed at his first visit at Advent Therapy. I cannot speak highly enough of his physical therapist, Lindsey. At the first appointment, she did a great job of thoroughly explaining my son’s condition (what it is, how he may have got it, and how to correct it) in a way that was easy for a lay person to understand—along with providing a packet with detailed notes and pictures that I could constantly refer back to at home when doing his exercises. Every week, she has been so loving and caring towards my son while doing his exercises. Lindsey radiates positive energy and is such a pleasure to be around that I (and even my toddler/big sister!) truly look forward to his visits. Further, it’s clear the therapists are a close knit group which helps create a comfortable, welcoming office environment. My son has made great progress, too. I am so, so glad his referral went here!
