AVOID AVOID AVOID. BUYER BEWARE
I had window film installed on the three windows at the front of my house for the main purpose of reducing heat/room temperature. I haven't noticed any real difference in the temperature of the three rooms. The temperature sensors in those rooms have been showing the same temperatures as before installation which is disappointing. Also, since installation one of my windows has had a massive crack running diagonally across the main section of the window pane. I confirmed with the fitter of the window film that no issues was spotted with the window on installation so it seems to have happened as a result of the window film itself. Overall, quite disappointed as this wasn't a cheap service but I haven't found decent enough results and have also ended with a cracked window.
I contacted the company about the cracked window but never received a reply. Unprofessional.

In relation to heat reduction, the performance of window film can vary depending on a number of factors, including the orientation of the windows, the type of existing glazing, and the level of direct sunlight exposure. In many cases, customers experience a noticeable reduction in glare and solar gain, rather than a dramatic drop in ambient room temperature. That said, we would be more than happy to review your installation and assess this with you.
Regarding the cracked glass, I completely understand your concern. However, it’s important to clarify that professionally specified and installed window film does not cause glass to crack on structurally sound glazing. This is supported by manufacturer guidelines and industry standards.
In our experience, cracks that appear after installation are almost always linked to pre-existing stress within the glass, such as:
• Pressure from the window frame
• Minor edge damage (often not visible)
• Manufacturing or installation stress within the original glazing
Where these stresses exist, changes in temperature can sometimes expose the weakness — but the root cause lies within the glass itself rather than the film. We have installed window film across thousands of panes over many years, and where the glass is sound, this type of issue does not occur.
That said, we absolutely want to help resolve this for you. I would really appreciate the opportunity to speak with you directly, review the situation, and see how we can assist.
Please do reach out via WhatsApp above, and I will make this a priority.
Kind regards,
Dermot Howard
