I have a large Cavavin wine cellar and the thermostat stopped working. I called Advance and a friendly human being answered almost immediately. Then, two technicians came out the very next day. And we are still in shock that they had parts unhand, and fixed it in one visit! They replaced two capacitors in the motherboard. Seriously? I'm certain any other company would have told me they need to replace the entire motherboard and we'd be waiting weekly while my wine bottles bake in room temp conditions. They were also super friendly. It was a bit pricier than typical but the value of service was worth every, EVERY penny.
Really great customer service, they called me back right away and made an appointment on a Sunday. Mark and Michael arrived on time, were very friendly and did fast work to fix my fridge/freezer. Would definitely call again for any appliance repairs.
Excellent service. Quickly diagnosed problem with washer and came back at 7 pm on a weekend to finish. Highly recommended
Rj excellent work on our dishwasher repair. Will definitely use him again if we have any issues.

Mark & Michael did such a wonderful job fixing our malfunctioning cooking range.
They went through so many iterations to fix the cooking range in the most reasonable & cheapest way possible for us.

I’d like to thank Mark for repairing our LG refrigerator/ice maker. Mark has been responsive and has returned to address recurring issues with my LG refrigerator after his initial repair (compressor replaced on July 23), then August 14 (faulty valve previously installed on July 23) and this time September 7 - fridge not cooling again). While the cooling problem has not yet been fully resolved, he has continued to communicate and discuss possible causes and solutions. He has indicated that he has pre-ordered an evaporator, in case that is the issue, and plans to complete further troubleshooting and repairs. At this point, I am waiting to see whether his diagnosis is confirmed and whether the proposed repair resolves the issue. I will update my review once the work is completed.

It’s absolutely ridiculous in this day and age where a company says they will come to your house to service your appliance without an actual time. How can between 8 am and 5 pm be an actual thing? Then be after 5 pm?!?! you know the route your tech will be on, it’s insane to not have a rough timeline. Instead I waited at my place all day for a service to happen, and only was notified 5 minutes before they were at my door. Completely unacceptable.
Do not trust these clowns to fix your appliances if you value your time!

So, based on your response, are customers with warranty claims essentially treated as second class customers when it comes to scheduling?
If a customer books directly with Advance Appliance, you are apparently able to provide them with a reasonable arrival window. Yet because my repair was a warranty claim, I was expected to remain home from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., received virtually no notice of when your technician would arrive, and the technician ultimately arrived after that already enormous nine hour window.
This repair was scheduled several days in advance. A warranty claim should be treated with the same consideration as any other repair your company performs. I am not asking for an exact arrival time. I completely understand that repair times vary, unexpected issues arise, and schedules can change. I am simply asking for a reasonable estimated window.
Passing responsibility to the manufacturer does not address my complaint. Regardless of who originally dispatched the warranty claim, it was an Advance Appliance technician travelling an Advance Appliance route. Once the day’s route is established, surely your company has some idea whether a customer is likely to be seen in the morning, afternoon, or evening. If unexpected delays occur, communicating those delays to the customer is simply good customer service.
I also find your comment that I should “appreciate the technician who work late for you instead of complaining” particularly disappointing, especially coming from the owner of the company. I never criticized the technician for working late. My complaint is about the scheduling and lack of communication. A customer raising a legitimate concern should not be made to feel guilty for doing so.
Warranty customers’ time is no less valuable than the time of customers paying directly. A repair claim booked several days in advance deserves a reasonable arrival window and proper communication, just like any other service appointment.
Your response has also failed to address the actual problem or acknowledge that this scheduling and communication system needs to be changed or overhauled to prevent other customers from having the same experience. Instead, the responsibility has simply been passed elsewhere.
That is precisely why I once again say to any would be customers considering Advance Appliance: stay away and choose a company that values its customers’ time and is willing to address problems with its service rather than make excuses for them.
