This was the second time I have hired a vehicle from adaptive vehicle hire, and I have quite specific requirements as being wheelchair bound and using a large electric wheelchair. Avh were very easy to deal with. We live in Sussex but our own vehicle broke down whilst we were in Yorkshire. Avh came to the rescue and delivered a van to us in Yorkshire and picked it up from us at home in Sussex. It was all very hassle-free.

The staff at Adapted Vehicle Hire were very helpful in ensuring we had exactly the right wheelchair accessible vehicle to meet our needs during our holiday to the UK. The Renault Trafic that we hired was perfect for us, it was immaculately presented and was delivered to and collected from our hotel, making the whole process really easy. Their rates were very competitive and the contract was simple and straightforward.
Great place to hire a Wheelchair Assisted Vehicle from with an excellent choice of 6 seater ( including wheelchair user) and even larger vehicles. There is a choice of manual and automatic vehicles and all the vehicles are new or reasonably new and in excellent condition. We were given advice on the type of vehicle that would be best suited to our needs and a comprehensive demonstration of the vehicle and equipment by really friendly and helpful staff, we were even able to have the vehicle delivered to our address at no extra cost. All of our party were pleased with the vehicle and its economy being a diesel and we have every intention of hiring from this company again next year if they will have us . You will struggle to find better !
Good overall service, was just a lot of hoops to jump through on the admin side, specially if more than 1 person is driving. Vehicle had a minor software glitch with tire pressure monitoring blinking every day after reseting. Rear disability seatbelt in the Vauxhall Combo is not the best
This is the second time I've used this company. They are always efficient and polite and easy to deal with. I hire a mobility van to take my son who is in a powered wheelchair. It is very easy to get him in and out off and the securing system for his chair is easy to use. The drop off and pickup are always close to times specified and they ring the day before to confirm times.
