First Class, hassle free, professional job From the outset, this company was a pleasure to deal with. The initial contact was with Lewis who came out so promptly to assess and price up the work. He was friendly, helpful and gave very good advice. We had 6 different company quotes, and we are so pleased that we chose Active Windows. This was a big domestic project (1930’s 3 bedroom house) consisting 1 large landing 4 paned stained glass window. 4 x 5-bay windows plus various flat windows. In all 10 window areas most of which included stained glass upper panes plus an obscured bathroom one. The stained glass was replicated beautifully as were the curves in all the bays and the frames with excellent security locks on all handles. Tony, Dan and Gary worked tirelessly and have done such a brilliant job. They were meticulous in tidying up afterwards each day and at the very end. They were polite friendly and respectful. You couldn’t meet a nicer bunch! I was quite sad to see them leave. Also when any telephone contact was required, I always got to speak to Norman and/or Lewis very quickly with any queries answered and were great to deal with. I would have no hesitation recommending this company to anyone wanting first class, professional competitively priced work done. They won’t waste your time or give unrealistic promises. They won’t let you down. Update: 6 months on Windows are still fabulous. We had 1 catching and a couple creaking. They came out immediately and sorted the catching one and the creaking was nothing more than an anti bow mechanism on the small windows which had expanded due to temperature fluctuation. They removed these as unnessecary and everything is perfect again. Don't hesitate - just get these guys in! Update: It’s a year since our windows were completed. Our heating bill is dramatically lower, they look amazing and I still really love our ‘new’ windows. We have had absolutely no issues and nothing but good things to say.

Great company to work with (I work with many suppliers during my day job) Super happy with my new windows, great quality, fab service. The team are very professional, loved the finish & fit, I love the shape of the frames, sills & internal trim finish around the windows... & no mess left afterwards. It wasn't until my neighbour (she'd recently been part of the council's new window project), asked how long it had taken to clean the dust & mess afterwards. I asked what mess/dust, the lads had left my house clean. She remarked on how professional, nice & the standard of work from the Active Windows team, I know how good they are, that's why I always use them. It's when a third party who is looking on from the outside notices what you know your had a winning team carrying out the work. Like many people I couldn't afford to replace all at once so this was the 3rd time I've used the company. They've now fitted front door, back doors, patio doors & several windows. I've just bought 2 outside doors from Active. The doors, locking mechanism, fittings and trims are the very best quality. The fitter was a perfectionist - double-checking measurements, constant use of spirit-level and cleaning up as he went along. He wouldn't even apply silicone until the area was totally dust-free. Friendly and responsive customer service with good guarantees. All in all, a stress-free project with 2 doors which we're delighted with.

I always think you only really know if it’s a good company from the after sales support, but when it comes to Active Windows you know from day one what you’re getting. Norman and Lewis are a pleasure to work with and the team are professional at all times on site. No mess, no stress and excellent customer service. An error by an unconnected tradesman was corrected by Norman’s team even though it had nothing to do with them. That’s what I call going over and above. Lewis from Active windows service was great! Requested a home visit by Active windows after a recommendation from another house owner on the estate. Lewis came out and was just great to deal with as he was not pushy in anyway and very patient with myself in answering my questions. He suggested it was worth visiting there showroom in Washington if i wanted to see there windows , handle types and fittings used. Lewis then came back to me with prices and different options. He was fully aware that we had spoken with alternative suppliers but he stood out and his pricing was fare and just made everything easy. Installation team were 100% also

Double glazing Having asked four companies to quote for double glazing on my three-bed semi, I was most impressed by Active Windows & Doors. Lewis was very friendly and knowledgeable- there was no hard sell. Thankfully their quote was also the cheapest. After a visit to their factory and showroom to see the products and finishes, we were very happy to go ahead. We choose black uPVC inside and out, which I think suits our stone built house. The install took two days, and I was happy to leave the team to it. I’ll be using them for aluminium bi-fold doors in phase 2 after a knock through. Highly recommended.

Porch with new window and front door My son and his family had Active to replace windows and they were so pleased with the work that I decided to have a new front door, 2 porch windows and a new bedroom window. I’m now planning to have Active to replace my back door. Well done to everyone involved, especially to Lewis who helped me decide on glass and handles as there’s so much choice and I couldn’t make my mind up. Definitely choose Active for a first-class job

We had a good search through many local window installers and active windows and doors stood out from the rest for us and we are so pleased to have chosen, friendly and so helpful the whole team are. They placed sheets on the floor to protect the carpets and left no mess, then even brushed the path outside after they had finished. The quality of the windows, trim and finish are amazing we are so happy with the finished result, we can tell the difference with these new windows the rooms are warmer again. The lads who installed the windows were all so polite. We didn’t get all of the windows changed so we have decided to as them to do the back and front doors and the rest of the windows too. Thank you for the team at active for the service.

Porch & door fitted. Active fitted a new porch and front door.could not have asked for anything better.The workmen were excellent and the price was very competitive.Took all the debris away and finished the work to a very high standard. Will definitely be back in touch to have my back door replaced.
