Florin did an excellent job of servicing our boiler. He explained the work that needed to be done, the issues he found and what needed to be done to resolve them. He ensured the area all around the boiler was protected and thoroughly cleaned up afterwards. I’d thoroughly recommend ACF.

After reviewing our records, our first visit to your property was in January 2024. At that point, our engineer found that the system was heavily contaminated with sludge. As the system is over 20 years old and based on an old gravity setup, we advised a power flush, pressurisation, and the installation of a magnetic filter. A quotation was provided, but the work was not approved.
You contacted us again in October 2025 with further issues. During this visit, our engineer found:
• A burned-out heating port valve
• A faulty dual-channel programmer
• The system still unpressurised
• Significant sludge still present
• The hot-water port valve deteriorating
• Leaks from the boiler and other areas due to age and lack of maintenance
All findings and the recommended repairs were explained fully during the visit.
Two weeks later, the system failed again. Unfortunately, this is expected on an ageing system in poor condition when essential repairs and maintenance are not carried out. Replacing a single failed component cannot restore long-term reliability if the underlying issues remain unresolved.

Respectfully, leaving a 1-star review does not resolve the underlying faults with your central heating system. The issues we identified in 2024 and again in 2025 still remain, and until the recommended work is completed, the system will continue to fail.
