AVOID! Awful experience with this roofer. Over charged £600 for a simple job.
Reading some of the negative reviews for this roofer it started to make sense for me to share my history too so people are aware.
I contacted this company in Harrogate to receive a quote to place a single slate back in place and fix a small piece of concrete that fell, additionally, wanted to re-do the roof too. They said they could be there on the same day, very promptly, but never came.
Then they called and said they would definitely be there in the next morning. Again, nothing. I called in 2 days later and the guy answered the phone, in a laughing tone, asking if I couldn't see the rain outside?. He proceed to tell me he couldn't go on the roof for safety reasons, however, I did explained to him several times it was a simple slate that came off and it could be seen from the ground.
At this point he was quiet laughing with his buddy on the side (yes, all could be heard from the phone!), showing for 3rd time how professional he was!. Without seeing the damage, he just charged £500-£600 to put the slate back!!.
Since he took days to provide me this wonderful quote without even seeing it, I got quotes from other companies charging £50-60, 10% of what he was “magically” charging! People that actually came on site and saw the problem!
I enquired why it was so high, he proceeded to laugh again, and questioned why I just dont go with the other quotes instead of his quote so I dont waste his time. Again, very professional chap!
What he should be doing, is coming to check the problem and give me a quote, not sitting on the pub with his buddies, laughing and joking and asking for £500-£600 to put a roof tike back in!.
Needless to say, I will never be reaching this company again! And I will be getting another company to re-do my entire roof. These guys need serious work and a professional etiquete lesson!

This is obviously a fake Review. You’ve never left a review on your Google before we would not give prices over the phone. This is probably competition. kind regards, Absolute Roofing
I called out Absolute Roofing as we had a leak over a big bay window with a flat roof. Whilst there we realised our main big flat roof was also rotten in many places and needed to be fully replaced. I can highly recommend. On time, great job for a competitive price. Communicated throughout.

07801429338 is this persons number who seems to enjoy leaving bad reviews. He asked me for repair prices on a chimney, then told me it was too expensive. So I said no problem and I put the phone down. He then left me a bad review, which is completely unfair. Will leave this response here for you to decide if it is fair or not. We take great pride in our work which is usually quite dangerous.
I used Absolute Roofing 247 for replacing my flat roof recently. They came to do the work very promptly. Philip, their roofer, was really diligent and worked very hard. He was also very friendly and helpful. He explained where the leak was coming from. He takes pride in his and did a good job.
I’m unsure whether the reviews fully reflect my experience, and it’s possible there may be more than one team operating under the same company name. After reading the many positive reviews online, I decided to contact the company for a quote regarding a roofing leak in my kitchen’s single-storey roof. A roofer named Phil and his labourer visited on Friday and provided a quote of £1,500 for a day’s work using basic materials such as roofing felt. I felt the price was quite high, but the strong reviews encouraged me to proceed, so I agreed to have the work done the following Monday from 8am.
On Monday morning at 7:40am, Phil called to say they wouldn’t be able to arrive until 11am. I expressed concern that starting later would limit the working hours available—as sunset was around 4:15pm—and that the job might be rushed, especially with rain forecast the next day. Phil reassured me the cost reflected his expertise and asked whether I still wanted the work done. Although I was still unsure, I agreed to the later start.
At around 11:55am, I received a text saying they would arrive in 25 minutes, meaning only a few hours of work would be possible. At that point, I felt uncomfortable with the situation and decided to cancel via text.
A few minutes later after cancelling, I received a call from another person—someone I had not previously dealt with ( Irish accent) —who said he was travelling from Leeds with materials and would be arriving soon. I explained that I had only been communicating with Phil and didn’t understand why someone else had my details or was attending. The caller insisted on payment for materials and became quite firm in his tone, though eventually he ended the call.
I’m not entirely sure what happened behind the scenes or why my details were shared with another individual. My intention in sharing this is simply to advise others to double-check who they are dealing with and to ensure everything is clear before committing to any work.
Thank you.
An update just after few hours after this review has gone up, I've just had a call from a person called John ( Irish Accent ) who confirms it's his business and persisted on why I have left such a misleading review I explained everything to him only to be told by him that he should come down to my house and to sort this matter out, I reacted to this, he called me a black ba???? on a recorded phone call and put the phone down, minutes later I had phone call from Phil several times at this point I blocked both Telephone numbers for John and Phil.

This Review is not true this customer got upset because we could not get to him in time over the storm we can’t work on the roof in the bad weather. If the weather is too bad we will not get on the roof safety before anything he is upset for no reason. and another thing I am not Irish I was born and read in Yorkshire don’t know where you’re getting this from
