Dr. Pacuraru is one of my very favorite physicians. She has treated me with kindness and compassion as she has guided me through a variety of eye conditions over several years. (I was a patient of hers when she was with a different clinic.)
I'm always treated courteously by her staff. I particularly enjoy the thoroughness and patience of the members of her team that do the eye exams. I am not an easy patient. They allow me the time I need to blink, adjust and see during the exam.
I hope Dr. Pacuraru and her staff thrive at this location as I hope to come here for a very long time.

It is vital that you do not trust this doctor Pacaruru with your eye health. She didn't pay attention to anything I wrote or verbalized about my medical history. She was very rushed, rude to me and the lady taking notes. She sent inaccurate diagnosis and notes to my medical doctor.
This Dr P. didn't see something in my eyes that every optometrist I have been to for the last 10 years has seen and monitored, which was the reason I went to her to begin with.
Also, I agreed at check-in to go ahead and get my eye exam for my glasses and contacts while at this appointment, not knowing that the exam would not be performed or verified by a real doctor.
Will not return to this office.
***Edited to say...My contact lens/eyeglasse exam was NOT performed by a doctor, but by a staff member. When that portion of the exam was over, BEFORE the real doctor came in, a different staff member came in and dilated my eyes. When the doctor came in, she didn't mention my contact/eye glasses exam and did nothing to check it or confirm it. You cant get an accurate contact lens exam/ glasses exam with dilated eyes. Over 10 years ago, when I was in my early 40s, I was diagnosed with a slow growing cataract, that I have been told, by every optometrist that I see, these are rare for someone so "young" and are caused typically from trauma or steroid use. I have been questioned about trauma and steroid use many times over the years. 2 months prior to my exam, I was diagnosed with diabetes. This dr told me my cataracts are due to diabetes. When I questioned this with my previous history, she told me just because they look like they can be removed, doesn't mean she will do it. She then submitted a report to my medical doctor saying I have "age related cataracts" which is not true, this is the history she completely ignored.
I left with no prescriptions for glasses or contacts, as I was told by the staff member who performed that exam that I needed to call her back with last years information so that "I can know what to write for this year"

I had cataract surgery with Dr. Pacuraru and it was a great experience, start to finish. I already knew about her practice since my mom had surgery there several years ago. The office is beautiful and welcoming and the staff is always friendly and efficient. Dr. “PAC” is also really friendly and approachable and always takes time to answer questions. The surgery was really easy and my vision is much improved and I no longer am wearing Coke bottle glasses.
In my opinion, they are the “best of the West,” in Abilene! So don’t put off getting your best vision. It’s an easy process. Make an appointment.
