Cosmin came to my elderly mother’s home today when she had locked herself out with Keys left in the lock on the inside, he was calm and extremely professional from the start even though my mum’s old door was a bit different to the norm and presented one or two issues. He gained entrance and then on top of that spent considerable time servicing the lock. He didn’t charge very much by todays standards, at all, but best of all It was obvious that he genuinely wanted to help my mum and get her through what had been a rather bad day. Nothing was too much hassle for this lovely, polite and knowledgable man and I sincerely wish that other tradesmen were more like this guy! He was nothing short of superb and I would thoroughly recommend him to anyone. Today was the first time in a long, long time that we had a tradesman turn up who was knowledgable, efficient and polite who didn’t over charge or talk down to us. I honestly can’t say enough good things about Cosmin.. and it was nice to have a decent, trustworthy person who I could leave with my elderly mum and not worry.. an absolute legend! Thank you very much, Cosmin, for a job well done! What a nice guy!

Ok service at a (very high) price - A combination padlock had broken and was on a locker 2 mins walk away in Mill Hill Broadway I showed them a picture of which padlock it was I'd bought it from them!. Their offers were:
We will come and remove if for you for ÂŁ84 or
Buy some bolt cutters for ÂŁ28.
it took me 2 mins ( possibly taken them less than 30 seconds)
Surely they could have refunded half the cost of the bolt cutters if I returned them? Effectively renting them to me.
Anyone want to buy a 2nd hand pair of bolt cutters - only used once!
NEW?? haha it came without any wrapping, no price tag, nothing - just handed me a scratched pair of bred bolt cutters. If that's how they come from you supplier you need to have words.Don't worry NEVER returning

A call-out is call-out. We have to charge a minimum base as is standard across the industry. As with any item regardless, once it is used it is not returnable or refundable. Thanks

We have just noticed this review we have no recolection of dealing wth yourself Adam having checked our records and could not find a job related to yourself you may have confused us with another locksmith petending it is A & Y Lockssmiths. We have two shops in Mill Hill and Borehamwood and have been in business since 1980. If you have confused us with another company we would appreciate you removing this feedback.
My car broke down at a petrol station. I had a two hour plus wait for the AA to attend. A&Y Locksmiths pulled in in front of me and offered to help! Within 5 minutes they were able to get my car running and I was on my way.. I was as on my way to an important engagement and they saved me from letting the venue down .. thanks very much I will recommend you to others!

Requested locking zippers to be installed onto my boots, as the zips kept falling down. Wasn't told they were ready, I only found out by calling them a week later. Zippers installed weren't the ones I requested, and the guy looked annoyed that I even queried it. They seem to be holding up so far, but it wasn't what I asked for. Also they left a piece of metal in my boot, which I only found out about when I tried them on. Overall not super impressed.
A huge thank you for the fastest emergency call out service on record to change front door lock on a Saturday night. Took 15 mins from calling in, to arrival and lock changed with 3 keys handed over… record speed. Amazing service. So grateful !! Highly recommend to everyone. First class, super speed service all round.
Job well done ok, but this criticism is not being made for the work but for the words, yesterday I asked the price to open a door for me, leaving it with a key and intact, there you answered me ÂŁ84.00 + ÂŁ6.00 copy of the key ok we agreed and our conversations are recorded on WhatsApp, until you get here today it opens, after 10 minutes of work it opened, ok and time to pay ÂŁ124.00
