I used 1st Scenic for the replacement of a shattered door glazing unit. I am very happy with the installation. It was a wet day but the installers managed to keep inside and out clean and tidy and managed to provide a unit that matched the other windows.

My mum was looking to replace her front door. She had a local company visit and quote, which was written on a business card. This caused me concern, so I spoke with Sam Butler at 1st Scenic. He reviewed this company on company’s house and found the business had not been running long and the director had previously folded another windows and doors business. Sam explained that if it happens again any warranty may not be valid. He also explained that the figure written on the business card did not breakdown what was included or if it included VAT. Sam visited and complete an assessment and quote. At the meeting he explained every aspect of the door, frame and fittings. He suggested a lower threshold and locking mechanism to future proof my mum’s mobility. My dad insisted the door had to be dark green before he passed away, so Sam provided colour samples to ensure these criteria was met whilst also providing samples of privacy glass. Due to Sams in depth knowledge, recommendations and 1st Scenic 20 year trading history, my mum placed an order there and then. The door has now been fitted and my mum is over the moon with her new green front door. I would have no concern recommending Sam and 1st Scenic.

They provided excellent advice on the options of windows and doors available which would be in keeping with our property. 1st Scenic fitted a new black aluminum conservatory and two outside doors to our property. They completed the work within the time-frame they said, the guys on the job were excellent, professional and polite. They completed the work to a very high standard and left the job clean and tidy. We were totally blown away at how good the job now looks. Thanks very much and I wouldn't hesitate to use them again for further glazing work.

In 2021 1st Scenic Windows Ltd replaced the leaking roof of my conservatory. Unbeknownst to me, the vents above the windows were attached to the old roof. I did not discover until months after the replacement when I went to open them for the summer that the vents were gone. What resulted from this, was that everything in the conservatory went mouldy. We did what we could to mitigate it and left the window open. When the ice came, we closed it. As a result of the condensation building up, our roof is now dripping water into the conservatory. We have been nervous about charging my electric wheelchair and we have thrown out several mouldy chairs. After sending someone round to look at it, who said he would impress on them at the office that it was the removal of the vents that caused the problem, First Scenic rang me to inform me that the contract stipulated there were no vents in the replacement roof, and it was in no way unusual for them to replace vented roofs with un-vented roofs due to vent leaks. They did not advise me of the risk, or even that the vents would be gone in the first place. When I told them that because of this I had been unable to make an informed decision at the time, it was made clear that this was not their concern, and that while he could speak to the engineer it would be a 'he said, she said' situation. During this phone call, I was informed that condensation buildup due to inadequate ventilation is a very common problem with conservatories, so on reflection I can only recommend that you not replace your conservatory roof with First Scenic at all, as they will knowingly install this common problem in your home without warning and cause you property damage that they will not take any accountabiity for.
