TLDR: Solid drink and dinner spot (decent happy hour deal) with nice ambiance (sometimes live music).
Ordered escargot, tacos, shrimp po’boy, and some other solid eats as well, everything generally hit the spot. Solid service as well, need to come see the live music sometime.

This was a place we ended up at on a whim. I had briefly saw it in the list of nearby restaurants, but kind of dismissed it due to it being a primary Cajun restaurant. I didn’t want to have an all spicy dinner. HOW WRONG WAS I?
Unfortunately, we were on a time crunch and could only do drinks and appetizers. But, oh how wonderful were those drinks and appetizers. If you go here and do not get the baby ribs you are you are doing yourself a disservice. The flavor profile is so amazing. They are so moist you cannot even pick them up with your hands. You must use a fork.
My drink (voodoo garden)had just the tiniest bit of heat follow through. Enough to make it so yummy!
The icing on the cake is the service. EVERYONE in this restaurant is extremely nice and attentive!
You can the best food in the world, but if your service is poor you can definitely count on me not coming back and telling everyone I meet what an awful establishment you run.
That is NOT THE CASE HERE. The staff is AMAZING!
Trust me 1803 is the place to be!!!
Don’t skip it!
I went there as an alternative and I felt embarrassed as I asked them to bring me out their best desert and write "will you be my girlfriend" on it to present to my lady friend whom I brought there. The key lime pie was warm and the writing in chocolate they did on the plate was all smudged and wasn't the best quality. We left feeling unimpressed and unsatisfied . Also the food was too salty and undercooked. Would not recommend.

1803 blew me away — everything from the atmosphere to the food to the service was spot-on. The vibe is warm, lively, and full of New Orleans energy, but still feels cozy and welcoming. Every dish was flavorful and perfectly cooked. The pasta, steak, and nachos is a must-try. The cocktails were creative and balanced, and the staff made the whole experience feel personal and fun.
Whether you’re coming for dinner, brunch, or just drinks, 1803 hits the perfect balance of great food, great music, and genuine hospitality. Can’t wait to go back!

Over hyped and over priced and they dont do the jazz brunch anymore which is the whole reason why I wanted to go. I paid for a large order of gumbo ($25) and there were only 2 shrimp in it. The charbroiled oysters had good flavor but they were over cooked and dried up. The vibe was very very tribeca / finance, not giving the jazzy nola vibe i saw others post online.
