Best choice for Mexican at the shore and beyond! Always love Blue Cactus. Their nachos are incredible. They catered our NYE dinner with a DIY taco/bowl bar and everyone raved about the food. Super fresh, flavorful and they thought of everything we might need - even hot sauce. Don’t go anywhere else for your taco fix.

Came across this place for dinner with my family and glad that we were able to stop by. We all got taco bundles. Very flavorful and filling! Got churros too, so delicious! The staff was super kind. The outside seating was fantastic!

Our annual September “getaway” to OCNJ meant we’d miss our weekly church small group meeting. Tonight was Mexican food night with the group. ZOOM was set up so we could attend from afar, but what about the food??? Ah… Takeout from Blue Cactus to the rescue!!! And what a meal we enjoyed… chicken burrito and a chicken taco bowl!!! Extraordinary!!! Better than what the group enjoyed back home! Thanks for “making our night!”

We enjoyed a Land bundle and a Taco salad. The special of the day was tacos el Pastor. When I asked if I could have it on a salad, they were happy to fulfill my order. Both were delicious. What a treat when the fresh chips and salsa were still warm!

This is for a to-go order. I was honestly impressed everything was correct on a big order on a Friday night. The guac was delicious. The natchos were good! The taco bowls were a nice option, and everyone enjoyed theirs. The chicken quesadilla was good. And for dessert the sopapillas were an interesting touch!

We are local and always recommend this place to friends who visit. Same amazing food as the old boardwalk location. Might take a while sometimes to perfect each order, but I don’t mind for several reasons. First, you can enjoy their homemade chips and salsa while you wait. Next, the food is always sooo good and worth the wait. Truly made with quality ingredients by cooks who know their craft and do it well. We happened to be there on a night they had live music (a rare thing in OC!) so we were entertained listening to the live beachy, summer vibes. Love this place. (Oh! And you can BRING YOUR DOGS to the terrace too!)

We stopped by Blue Cactus Taco Shop in Ocean City and were absolutely blown away. The new location is even better—spacious, cool, and perfect for groups with both indoor and outdoor seating. There’s also plenty of parking right in front of the building, so no fighting for a spot like you do near the boardwalk—huge bonus! We tried the crispy flour tacos (steak, surf & turf, chicken, and ground beef)—each one perfectly seasoned and delicious. The guacamole was creamy and fresh, and the taco dip (like a five-layer dip of pure goodness) was a favorite. The homemade chips came out warm and crispy—so satisfying. And don’t skip the cilantro hot sauce—savory with just the right kick! The owners and team were incredibly kind, friendly, and welcoming, giving the place a homey, inviting vibe that really sets it apart. Whether you're in town for lunch or dinner, this spot is a hidden gem. Even though it’s off the boardwalk (7 min walk), it’s absolutely worth the short trip. Can’t wait to come back! This is a staple for my family’s vacation and we eat here multiple times on our vacation. No regrets!

Thank you so much. We are getting acclimated to our new location. :) Everything involved in serving these days is 60% higher than when we started this business 9 yrs ago. We use only the highest grade ingredients and prepare it by hand daily. Sadly the prices are actually too low currently but we chose to stick with the prices we set after the “Covid Raise” 2021 until we have our new menus done. We would love to have 2 dollar tacos but if they cost 1.60-2.00 to make at our costs you can imagine we wouldn’t have much of a business if we sold at 2.00

Ordered veggie tacos and although everything was fresh, I was disappointed that their version of a veggie taco is actually a bean taco. No "veggies" plus if you want gauc on your tacos they upcharge $1 for each taco. We Ordered chips and queso to start and that was $10. Usually chips are complimentary with hot sauce. Not here. If you want sour cream they charge $2.50 for a little to go cup size. For the price we paid I didnt think it was anything to write home about. The homemade salsa was good and it came complimentary with the tacos. A few things to note for a better experience if you are going to charge $11 for 3 bean tacos but call them veggie tacos, fry up some peppers and onions and throw them on. A little steep on the upcharge for everything extra and lastly make your chips complimentary for those menu prices. Thanks and good luck

Thank you for writing this review. We have been serving the same veggie tacos for years without complaints. The veggie taco does come with guac, lettuce and fresh salsa. You can always add more veggies. If you were charged for guac that was our new server making a mistake, same with the sour cream. It is always good to resolve this on site so it is quicker, but we are happy to do that now. We have been open in our new location 10 days and are working out some kinks because of it. Thank you for your time. We have not raised our prices for 3-4 years so we think our prices are not outstanding for the fresh, made from scratch, produce-picking we do to ensure best results. We get nothing pre-made etc like you see at other cheaper Mexican places.
