Loss of Trust Updated review after being a patient for years I have been a patient for over seven years, but my recent experiences have led me to the decision that my family and I will no longer seek services here. In January 2026, Dr. Jeel Kesaria (Dr. K) informed me I needed two fillings and a crown. However, at my appointment in February for the follow up procedure, I was told for the first time that a root canal might be necessary. This should have been communicated in January. During the procedure, Dr. K injected anesthesia into a nerve in my jaw, which was the most painful experience I have ever had at a dentist. I pushed through the pain and my fear. After lengthy drilling, it was determined I did need a root canal; I was later informed that Dr. K should never have attempted the filling due to the nerve's proximity. Furthermore, Dr. K prescribed antibiotics without informing me or checking for associated allergies. At this point over $900 paid to Bancroft dental, and now additional costs for endo procedure. No refund not even a partial refund from Bancroft Dental. Following the procedure, I experienced significant pain and was unable to eat on the right side of my mouth. When my temporary crown fell out, I reported my ongoing pain to the front office supervisor, Carmen B. Lopez. Despite her assurances, she failed to follow up with me, necessitating multiple inquiries on my part. Staff that answered the phone also never followed up. My filling was ultimately botched, requiring the tooth to be reshaped twice and the other tooth required a two-step root canal due to inflamed nerves and excessive bleeding. Bancroft dental was paid in full for services that were poorly performed, required me to pay additional costs and resulted in multiple trips related to follow up appointments. While I appreciate the work of Dr. Angel and Angie, who both stepped in to correct the errors made by their colleagues, the overall quality of patient care has declined significantly. It appears that profit is being prioritized over patient well-being, exacerbated by incompetent front office staff—specifically Carmen and Marco. I finally received my permanent crown on April 10th, ending a long and distressing journey. Please be advised that I have filed active complaints with both the Dental Board and the Better Business Bureau. I will never return to this provider again. They cannot be trusted. While mistakes can occur, it is important that things are remedied in a manner that ensures client care and service is top priority. Mike Chang has lost control on quality care, and I'm concerned that others will be harmed physically and mentally by the poor care they receive at Bancroft Dentalcare. Here is Carmens response to me via email after multiple failures "Thank you for your patience. Your feedback regarding the issues you reported has been carefully reviewed. We have met with our team to discuss the proper protocols for treatment and follow-up care to ensure this does not happen again. I discussed your request and issue with management and we agreed that we should keep you with Dr. Angel or Dr. Mike for adjusting the filling and cementing your crown."
