Had a good grasp of Mandarin after 3 sessions (1 year) with teachers Kailing and Minqi. Teacher Kailing was great at getting us geared up for conversations and teacher Minqi really equipped me with the fundamentals like vocabulary and pronunciation. Grateful for everyone here!

I can't say enough good things about Angel Song, my Mandarin teacher! Her remote classes via Zoom have been a game-changer for me. Not only does it save me time, but it also makes her accessible to students from all over the world, which is truly remarkable.

Great and well structured lessons at a manageable pace. My teacher, Laoshi Diana plans the work well and keeps it very interactive so the class can stay engaged and have a great time learning. I had only intended to do beginner class x 12 lessons but had such a good time that I want to continue.

The poor rating is for the management which tries to rip customers off extra dollars and not the instructor. We have a fine instructor who's doing a great job in teaching mandarin.
From an initial batch of 4, only I and another student remained after the initial couple of classes. Both of us were traveling and hence requested the center to reschedule our classes as there is no change in the number of hours the instructor puts in and we were willing to take the rescheduled classes at a mutually convenient time. The request was logical and reasonable.
The management was utterly inflexible hiding behind their 'policies' and displayed rigid behaviour all for ripping off another $60 from us each. They did not even make an attempt to suggest alternate solutions despite our multiple requests.
Absolutely terrible customer experience. Do not fall for their excellent reviews online. They will cite their so called policies and rip you off in the first instance they can.

We did inform you about our makeup class policies before you joined the class. If it is unfair to you because you have your travelling plans, you should have told us, and we will offer another class.
The class you signed up for runs on a fixed schedule. We can't simply pause and resume your class after you are done with your travels.
I learnt how to understand and communicate in simple Chinese within a few months, and the teacher was very kind and helpful, and taught patiently.

This is from Tajima. I met Yi mandarin when lived in Singapore an year and half ago. The facility, teachers and topics are all good. Even now after coming back to Japan, I can keep studying online. Thanks to Yi mandarin, I feel happy communicating with Chinese by using mandarin.
