Bought tickets online to A Guarda a few hours ahead but arrived to find the xacobeo transfer office apparently permanently closed and no boat to be seen. Their posted phone number proved to be disconnected. A sketchy guy pursued us claiming we had to go to a different dock for another boat service. It felt like we were being scammed. Ultimately a service called Popeye accepted our xacobeo tickets and took us across after we waited around for an hour and a half. Very stressful experience. Two thumbs down.

I did get on the other side but the organisation was not good. I got an answer how to book the boat and so I did. When I got to a place there was nothing. Some lady came and told us that boat departs from other point. Thought that was a scam as they warned about that in the mail. Turns out she was telling the truth, even though she is from a competitor company. I lost about an hour due to this mess. If not for a lady I would be waiting there for long as I had no info about different pick up point
