Another enjoyable stay. We've been coming here for the last 4 years and we love it! It's such a great open space for the children to run around in and explore nature. Its also great for them to meet lots of other children. Elise, as always, is lovely. I would recommend this campsite to any family that wants to embrace a bit of nature and who are looking to get away from city life. We look forward to coming back again next year. See you then Elise!

Beside the weather which turned a bit rainy by the end of our stay, we really enjoyed our mini holiday at Wytch Wood. I was curious to see an ECO CAMPSITE. It worked just as well as any other and had the obvious advantage leaving a much smaller ecological footprint. I especially liked that the plots were secluded and spacious. We enjoyed the privacy whilst there was a nice, friendly atmosphere. The big campfire on Saturday was a perfect opportunity to socialise - if you wanted to. Elise was there to help and to answer any questions. We never had such friendly host before. I am sure that we will be back with the new tent - we just realised during this last trip, that our old tent was not waterproof anymore. Thank you.

This place is really amazing. Beautiful quiet campsite with individual character pitches. I took my boys and they loved it. Booked again for another visit for 2024 and will probably become a traditional for us to visit.

My partner and i stayed here back in May. Its a really nice campsite with a lovely forest setting. The amenities are all good if youre used to camping - the private compost toilet was a nice addition to the pitches. Some firewood is also provided however we found this to be quite wet. Only knocking a star off because we felt our pitch wasn’t as secluded as we expected based on the photos and site map on the website. We were on pitch 1, and this is actually extremely close to pitch 2. I’d say we were even closer to the group on pitch 2 than we’d be at a lot of other cheaper campsites. Unfortunately for us, pitch 2 was a group of multiple families with young kids, who woke us up at 5am both mornings as they were running around our tent screaming. We could even hear it with earplugs in. Obviously this wasn’t the site owners fault, but we probably wouldn’t have picked that pitch if it was more accurately represented how close together the 2 pitches are. I would stay here again, but I’d definitely go for pitch 3 as this seems to be the most secluded if you’re a couple.

We thoroughly had a fantastic time staying at Wytch Wood. It was obvious from the get go that a lot of thought, love and effort has gone into creating this beautiful campsite, with a conscientious approach to nature. We love how each pitch has their own complementary fire pit, handmade table and chairs and even a trug full of logs free of charge as you arrive - something you rarely get on other campsites! We stayed at Toby's Double pitch which is right next to the stream on the edge of the woodland, but still gets plenty of sunshine throughout the day. Falling asleep next to the sound of running water was absolute bliss... as was seeing an eel in the stream and waking up to owls hooting, horses neighing away in the distance and serene birdsong. All of the pitches are generously spaced out so you get plenty of privacy without feeling like you're too penned in. We even had our own compost loo which was super convenient and clean and tidy. The showers were simple yet a great set up with complimentary Faith in Nature shampoo and conditioner - again, an offering you rarely get on other campsites. They have thought of everything essential you need here - at the entrance to the site there are plug sockets to charge devices and a makeshift shop selling local beers/ciders/snacks and most necessities you might have forgotten to pack - all with an honesty box to contribute to. The homemade Pizzas we had on Saturday were epic! We were also really grateful to be given some homemade apple and elderberry crumble made by one of the ladies running it - it was really thoughtful and kind of her. They were friendly, relaxed and always easy to find if we needed anything. Walking around you can see all the new trees they have planted including figs and apple trees which we thought was very forward thinking. There was a lovely well looked after herb bed too. If you are looking for all this, at excellent value for money and in an incredible setting nearby to lots of lovely villages and beaches, then you really must go here. Thank you for a wonderful stay - we hope to come back in the future. Phoebe and Mel x

A really nice place with a lot of activities and communal spaces with different vibes to chill or play board games or read a book and relax. Family friendly with lots of space for kids to play. Fantastic pizza and they also have coffee, croissants and more, in the morning. The owner was lovely and very helpful.

This is the perfect campsite- we stayed for 4 nights and would have stayed longer if we could! The pitches are really spaced out, so it feels peaceful and private. Great countryside views. We appreciated the private composting loo for each pitch. The honesty shop served us very well, we loved having a campfire every night with toasted marshmallows :) the local area is beautiful too. The campsite owner is super helpful and welcoming. We also enjoyed chatting to Jonny who was the cleaner while we were there, very nice guy. We would love to come back one day and will be recommending to family/friends.

Family of 5 (3 children aged 9,7,4) and our first time camping/glamping. Wytch wood was a fabulous site with everything we could have possibly needed and all very comfortable. We rented a bell tent and it was spacious, set up brilliantly and the beds were comfy and cozy. We had the best time and Elise was an incredible host. Thank you for a magical time!

Only spent one night here, but already planning to come back next year for longer! Stayed on pitch 7 (Toby's Double), and was able to string my hammock tent up between two sturdy trees. I think this is one of the smaller pitches here, but even so it's fully equipped with table and benches, firepit and your own composting loo. The rest of the site is glorious as well, there's showers up the top, and a great little communal area with charging, a community fridge/freezer, and an honesty shop with local products (try the gelato and the kombucha). In the morning there's fresh coffee available from Elise, and two nights a week they fire up the pizza oven(!). The best bit though? There's a babbling brook that runs through the bottom of the site. Despite all the facilities, the low number of pitches and separation between them allows this to feel nearly like wild camping in terms of closeness to nature. Heavily recommend Wytch Wood!

Super miejsce dla osób ceniących sobie ciszę i spokój, sklepik na miejscu z najpotrzebniejszymi artykulami, lodówka, można kupić kawę i ciastko. Gry planszowe. Cena do jakości uczciwa. Właścicielka bardzo miła i uprzejma.

We had such a nice time camping last weekend at Wytch Wood and already can’t wait to go back. This place has really got it right and makes camping easy (even with 3 kids)! The location is stunning and each tent has its own compost toilet, picnic table and fire pit. Pitches feel secluded but there is lots of communal space for kids to play as well as a stream to paddle in. The pizza on Saturday was delicious and the bar is well stocked with local cider and beer, wine and fizz! Coffee and pastries available in the mornings. Our kids (4 and 6) loved the bushcraft skills session and the communal area full of garden games and board games which kept us dry when it rained. The campsite has a green ethos with eco friendly products and excellent facilities! Showers were hot and the little honesty shop was well stocked for camping needs. Everything was so well thought out! We loved it there and will certainly be rebooking for next year!

We had only booked 2 nights but hadn't even got out of the truck when we knew we had to stay long. It's a beautiful place set in a fantastic part of Somerset and run exceptionally well. Both ladies were very helpful even making a run for us to get more Perry's cider. We felt like we didn't want to leave and could have stayed there all week. The views the people and just being able to unplug from life was amazing. So much so was able to craft a rough walking stick for the owner on the last day. Hope she liked it as just left by her truck. Honesty boxes food fridges and were always stocked and such a lovely idea thanks so much for having us it was a truly magical place. A really lovely campsite. Elise and her small team seemed to work tirelessly to ensure everything on the site ran smoothly despite the heavy weather. Beautiful setting, great facilities and freindly campers. Perfect!

Really great glamping experience at Wytch Wood! Beautiful rural campsite, really well looked after. The bell tent was lovely, super comfy bed and cosy indoor space - we also had our own fire pit, table and chairs and a really handy cooking area with gas stove and sink. Cooking equipment and all plates/cutlery included, which was very useful! Compost toilets were always clean, you have one per pitch so it's just for your use whilst you're there; the showers were warm and had body wash, shampoo etc included. Honesty shop was handy, we bought logs for the fire and other bits and bobs whilst we were there - you can add them to your tab and pay at the end of the week or pay in cash in the honesty box. Elise, the lady who runs the campsite, was really friendly; she's also on hand in the mornings making fresh coffees and pastries, which you can add to your tab. Would also recommend the pizzas if you're there on a Wednesday/Saturday! Lots of things to do in the area if you're happy to drive, Lyme Regis; Dorset Nectar & Perry's Cider Mill both have lovely outdoors area to drink cider in the sun; Palmer's Brewery do good tours; walk up to Golden Cap in Seatown; Fleet Air Arm Museum is a good day out; would also recommend eating at Winyard's Gap, lovely pub! Overall would really recommend.
